Macro Mondays and Rock
Rose quartz is a variety of quartz. The colour varies from dark pink to very light, translucent pink. Rose quartz, named after the pink colour, is often cracked and usually slightly cloudy. Very small rutile needles cause a six-radiate star in cabochon grinding. The colouring substances are titanium and manganese. The color may fade. Rose quartz has been worked as a gemstone for a long time.

My husband bought this knife in Sedona and it is so unique. He collects small knives and I think this one with the quartz blade is my favorite.
Another from my mineral collection is this quartz. When small crystals grow in this sugar-like formation along the main 'stems' it is known as druzy, hence druzy quartz. Lead inclusions can also be seen as flecks in the crystals.

1437.0 carat Star Rose Quartz specimen from Madagascar. In the Gem and Mineral collection at HMNS. It goes by the name of the Love Stone because it sends off strong vibrations of love, happiness, warmth, and emotional health. It possesses energy related to the heart chakra.
I'll never forget this night out with Matt Shiffler and Cosmic Chaos Adventures LLC such an incredible night to be in Alaska under the amazing aurora filled sky.

Quartz Tower is a part of Q Residences, which is a residential complex composed of two buildings located in the district of Buitenveldert in Amsterdam. Quartz Tower, which is 75 metres tall, was designed by Studio Gang and inaugurated in 2022.

White .
One half of a geode in white , I have posted a shot in the past of the other half as seen in the first comment box . Please click on the image to see more info and how well the two halves marry up to each other !!
Another week of iffy weather which stopped me going to where I grew up where there is a large white old weather boarded painted white and called " The White House " . Looking at google maps , these days parked cars make a clear shot a bit tricky !!
So it is the little white geode full of I guess quartz crystals which is placed upon a crystal cube .

Quartz striations on a tiny island in Voyageurs, northern Minnesota
Woke up early yesterday morning (and the day before) to kayak through the archipelagos, this morning beaching at each small island to explore its "intimate landscapes" (I love/hate that term) - ancient rock and fresh moss, beaver skeletons and lake-tossed driftwood.
