Or so he thinks.
I work part time at Queen's University here in Kingston Ontario. I had to go into the office this evening and so after dinner I thought I would bring Travis along so he could see a bit of Kingston after hanging around the house all day.
Of course, he had to go off on his own after asking to use the loo to check out one of the rooms in Mackintosh Corry Hall and I caught him trying to teach some of the students what he referred to as Quantum Physics. Of course, I didn't have the heart to tell him that it was all jibberish. He chalked it up to his Scottish accent that the students just didn't understand the theories that he was teaching.
I told him that perhaps he might better have a captive audience at the daycare tomorrow when we drop off my favorite model but he didn't seem to keen on that saying that the university students were more advanced in their learning and should have no problem understanding his teaching.
Of course, I didn't have the heart to tell him either that he just can't get up and teach without having a contract with the university so instead I promised him that we could go out and watch the Gael's practice on the field before heading home in order to get him out of the classroom and to allow the professor to continue teaching.
Make sure you check out his adventure's so far on his own flickr group Travis's World Tour.
If you think you would like to host Travis make sure you sign up on his flickr group. He doesn't eat much and the only cost to you is an envelope and postage to send him onto his next destination.

The dots are Platinum atoms. I think we are looking at a chrystal matrix.
Quantum Physics tell us that there is no « stuff » in the Universe; no matter; only energy pulsing at different rates.
This image serves- at least metaphorically- to help us see this idea.:
We see a ring pattern like ripples on a pond.
But the pattern would not show if the atoms were not found where the rings cross each other.
You could say that the rings make each other visible, or that the atoms make the intersecting ring pattern.
And you could say that the rings are not really there.
[ i have accidentally erased (twice.!) the rest of this text.
It is about how energy is ‘squishier’ than matter, which may make sense of how all of the stuff in the Big Bang could bang out of a tiny space. That it was not stuff that blew out of there; it was energy which ‘unsquished’ out of there.]

I know the joke about scientists who discover something not immediately useful maybe studying something that was actually useful is going to be eternal. That's the joke behind the igNobel Prize and, hell, I'll make it too. But trying to apply it to Covid, a very specific set of skills (sorry), was vexing. So I made something funny instead.

Orbs captured with camera in Australia Night Sky, many would like to think these are 'dust', 'pollen' or just plain old camera artifacts, well if you want to deceive yourself and believe that, OK, but don't bother hanging around here where research is ongoing and shows otherwise, thanks.
These objects are captured with natural colours presented, some contrast is enhanced for better visual viewing, but all are genuine shots and archived originals are kept on data base. They are all shot over my home in NSW Australia by me personally.
ADDED Dec 24 2011 for further reading:-
Night imagery of what is commonly called "orbs" and deciphered to content entities, as also seen in the infrared dimension and also in Earths sky in our realm, visible to some.
"orbs" are light anomalies that appear on photographs and video as spherical balls of light but as flashes of light to the naked eye because of their rapid speed of motion. They exhibit intentional behavior - suggesting some consciousness or awareness of the environment.
Orbs often travel in groups or clusters i.e. they exhibit swarm behavior - also a characteristic of particles in plasma - a characteristic observed by Bohm . Orbs also can dart back and forth rapidly like amoebic life-forms in a Petri dish. The balls can be transparent, translucent or in a bright solid form. These are signature features of magnetic plasma which has the natural property of being able to change its degree of opacity when internal frequencies change. Magnetic plasma would also allow orbs to change their output of light or luminosity. Looking at these balls in close-up reveals that they possess an onion-like layered structure i.e. they have concentric shells - a signature feature of plasma crystals. Danelek says, "...'true orbs' do not reflect light the same way a dust particle or flying insect does, but are instead generally more opaque and, in some cases, even appear to have rings within them."
Experienced ghost hunter Joshua Warren (in his excellent book How to Hunt Ghosts) says, "Often, orbs appear to have a nucleus, just like a cell. The nucleus might be surrounded by 'bands' - concentric circles emerging from it. In fact, it might appear like an onion that's been chopped in half." All these characteristics are identical to plasma crystals generated in the laboratory.
Orbs resemble plasma spheres in many ways. However, while plasma spheres generated in the laboratory are composed of standard particles (i.e. the particles described in the physicists' Standard Model currently), orbs are composed of super (i.e. supersymmetric) collisionless dark matter particles. This allows orbs to pass through objects and walls (just like said ghosts).
Dark matter in the physical-etheric universe can only interact with ordinary matter if their energy levels temporarily fall and ordinary matter condenses around them. Warren believes that since 'ghosts' have an electrostatic field, it makes sense that particles from the atmosphere would be trapped in the field. This would form a tiny clump of particles that betrays the presence of the 'ghost'. He says that, based on readings on electromagnetic meters during paranormal investigations, paranormal orbs carry a charge of static electricity. Dr Michael Persinger, a lab-based parapsychologist, and his colleagues demonstrated a link between strong or varying electromagnetic fields and orb activity. Orbs are also said to travel along Birkeland currents (i.e. ley or energy lines). This is another characteristic of their electromagnetic nature - which suggests that they are composed of magnetic plasma which is a good generator of electromagnetic fields and a good radiator of electromagnetic waves. ......[ Dark Plasma Theory ]

As we have already said - 'time is and illusion' - but it seems to occur - so what is it really.
So here's another one of those theories.....
Eternalism - it's a comforting word - isn't it ?
Eternalism - is a philosophical approach to the ontological nature of time, which takes the view that all existence in time is equally real, as opposed to 'Presentism' or the 'Growing Block Universe Theory' of time, in which at least the future is not the same as any other time.
Some forms of Eternalism give time a similar ontology to that of space, as a dimension, with different times being as real as different places, and future events are 'already there' in the same sense other places are already there, and that there is no objective flow of time.

A light panel is a mystery...
- Is it Nouveau or Deco?
- Is it light or dark?
- Does its existence depend on the observer?
- Is it Quantum Physics or Solipsism?
- Is it Logical Empiricism or Existentialism?
- Is the observer a human or a honey bee?-
- Are these even the right questions?
To answer one question: This lamp and backdrop panel are likely Art Deco and not its precursor, Art Nouveau... Art Deco's bold, linear symmetry was a distinct departure from the soft pastels and flowing asymmetrical organic forms of its predecessor Art Nouveau.
What always interests me is the streamlining of cars and statues of tigers, leopards and jaguars... Streamline objects are considered Art Deco.
Un pannello luminoso è un mistero ...
- E 'in stile Liberty o Deco?

A stem cell biologist determines that the most crucial cell activity is happening, not in the nucleus or even inside the cell but at the cell membrane. This draws into question for him the whole premise of DNA and genes determining the function of cells. Using an ingenious sandwich analogy which works better with pictures than I can describe, Lipton explains how the cells receptor proteins on the surface of the cell membrane are able to shift form inactive to active in response to external stimuli including vibrations, radio signals, chemicals, physical molecules. These external stimuli act like keys to open the doors of the membrane letting things in and out of the cell or causing the cell to react in certain ways.
Once open the receptors inform the effector proteins inside the cell of what stimulus is happening and these proteins then transform the cell into whatever is called for whether that means changing shape and movement, generating electrical charges, become enzymes to break down or synthesize molecules or act as signals to activate genes.
In short the cell responds to the external stimuli not the DNA, and actually calls the DNA into action. And some stimuli can completely cover the DNA that might be responsible for something bad happening as one would put a cover on a squawking parrot's cage. So this is what is meant by having a genetic predisposition that is activated by the environment. The environment has its counterpart in the body. If we change the environment too much we won't fit. This be a warning to GMO producers. Not only will we not fit but because genetics are not a fixed thing, but a nurtured thing this means that GMOs can also influence our genetics.
In fact there are far fewer genes to account for all the cell expression needed to make up a human. No more than a rodent—over 80% less than was surmised. That was the findings of the human genome project just in case you were wondering what happened to that. This puts the fix back into the hands of the individual and takes it out of the hands of geneticists looking to snip out the offending gene.
The author, Bruce Lipton, also updates his field with quantum mechanics to explain biological function noting that conventional researchers have completely ignored the role that energy vibrations play in health and disease. Through the principle of quantum mechanics we see the many ways that cells relate to each other in a web that goes beyond the linear Newtonian physics that governs conventional medicine and employs drugs in a simplistic attempt to combat one deficiency but will inevitably have side effects because of the interconnectedness of the body. A drug assigned to one ailment will be carried to another part of the body and cause reactions there.
But more interesting is the reactivity of the body to vibrations i.e. sound waves, radio frequencies, light spectrums. Such signals are a hundred times more effective in relaying information to cells than physical signals. The potential for such tools to be used in healing has not surprisingly been curtailed by the pharmaceutical industry. The only place sound waves are used is in smashing kidney stones. Big pharma was threatened by homeopathic healers, radioesthesiasts, chiropractors and Chinese medicine. This prompted the Carnegie Foundation to call for a law to be passed to require that all medical practices be based on science. See the Flexnor Report published in 1910.
Mr. Lipton also explores how external stimulus impact cells by causing them to create emotions and whether these emotions will add stress and thus inhibit growth and well being and actually cause disease. And how these emotion creating thoughts are learned in the first six years of life through experience. Thus we cannot just think positive thoughts to ensure health because unconscious thoughts are much stronger and will override the nervous system 95% of the time. Unconscious thoughts being the ones programmed into our minds in those early years. He includes a chapter on child rearing to help shape children in these crucial years. And if we're already stuck with such unconscious programming it is going to take work to root them out.
Bruce Lipton is one of the figures of the new physics and has attracted his share of debunkers. Published in 2008, Biology of Belief is as much a spiritual journey informed by scientific discovery and observation as a story of scientific discovery bringing about change. Or not, as indicated by stories of resistance to the information by the stakeholders of healthcare. It does much to bolster my confidence in energy medicines such as acupuncture and other practices and my hope that we are not that far away from discovering the real keys to health and possible cures.
