Just in the mood for a good blur. Have had this ready for a couple of days and wasn't able to get it posted. This is a part of the crowd making their way from the stadium after the baseball game a few days ago. It was drizzling so I wanted the final result to appear as rain on the lens.

What's more cliche than art imitating art?
Or museum shots of people looking at museum art?
Or the dream effect added to a perfectly good photograph?
It's the stuff of artful cliches! And we love it!! Flickr is full of wonderful work ...it's just that some of the time we intend it to be mistaken for cliches... as with this one. I can't tell you how many variations of this theme I was able to process with my iPhone. The possibilities were endless to explore...but I chose just one. Happy Cliche Saturday!!

Looking up at bright orange Chinese style lanterns in a restaurant today I had an idea. After a few shots with my iPhone I ordered dinner to go. The idea I had didn't pan out but something else did. I discovered that an App I hadn't used lately had had some very cool effects added with it's recent updates. Voila, this is the result.

You know, you just can't make somethings up! Who knew that by taking a different route to get to a familiar place I would drive by a rare, yet mature, Balloon Tree! I've heard of this rare species but never thought I'd see one in my lifetime. Maybe if I live long enough I'll see a Unicorn too!!

The old "birds on a wire" shot. It was a very grey day. Drizzly. Rain off and on. I was stopped at a stop light on the way to a meeting an hour from home. I got a chance for a few shots and I didn't realize until hours later when I got home that my phone had had a glitch and I had to rebuild my photo library. 10:30 at night is not the ideal time to discover that one's few shots of the day might all have been lost and I had a Daily Post to get ready. Fortunately this one of the series I took earlier was the only surviving shot to work with. I decided to go for sun and blue skies instead. Hey...if Mother Nature won't give us what we want we can always have fun with some apps and make it happen!!
