Wooden puzzles bring you back to pre-social media world.. or pre-history... they are just so beautiful...
Each year on January 29th, National Puzzle Day recognizes how exercising our brains with puzzles is just one of its many benefits.
Whether it’s a crossword, jigsaw, trivia, word searches, brain teasers or Sudoku, puzzles put our minds to work. Studies have found that when we work on a jigsaw puzzle, we use both sides of the brain. And spending time daily working on puzzles improves memory, cognitive function, and problem-solving skills.
The one I'm working on now. I thought last winter that one was bad this is hard too. But it gives me something to do. Little by little I hope to finish it. Not a quitter! People should not buy others difficult puzzles!!!! But I think will rewrap this next Christmas and give it back to my friend. He He.
Sometimes it is quite a puzzle what you have to do and also what you shouldn't do!

HAPPY WINDOW WEDNESDAY(S) !!
This pretty window, seen in beautiful springtime light, is also puzzling in one respect. Let me know if you see what I mean by that.

It is a puzzle, for Macro Mondays theme 'Puzzle'.
Phew, exactly 3 inch's square.
Made up of 4, inch and a half plastic cubes.
'Footsie', match all the pairs of feet on every cube face.
Little Bear just completed the puzzle and is so happy, putting that last piece in was always the best.
HANAYAMA - Infinity puzzle. Called Infinity not only because it looks like an infinity symbol when assembled, but because its movement continues endlessly until the pieces are taken apart.
If you have never played this exciting puzzle game (good for all ages) you ought to! I believe it is fairly new and it is very challenging and has five levels of play. One block is slightly less than 3" and you build a puzzle dictated by the card you draw. I bought this for my grandkids for Christmas and ordered another set for me...I was not so fast at first but it is a fun game to play by yourself and definitely challenges the brain. Hey, I will do anything to keep my brain healthy!
In an odd turn of events, Fore River Railroad's ex-Conrail B23-7s 101 and 102 were called on early Saturday morning to bring a pair of cabooses to Amtrak's Southampton Street Yard to use the wheel machine. While the move over the wheel machine didn't happen, it was absolutely still neat to see this kind of stuff under the wires, and under its own power on foreign territory despite the weather. Here the Dash 7 pair shove the cabooses into Track 3 at Southampton Street Yard over the radio-controlled DMTF switch, more commonly referred to as the Puzzle Switch.
This is a small Rubik’s Cube that fits on a key ring, which I used as my contribution for the Macro Mondays theme of puzzle.. I now have to work it out...HMM
