I'm so sorry for my long absence. I'm at the end of a two week vacation visiting my family in California. I spend the two weeks prior to these family vacations doing double work so I can just enjoy time with my parents and brothers when I'm with them.
That said, when I'm at my parents' house, I wake up before eveyone else because my body is 3 hours ahead on New Jersey time an I'm lucky enough to get to share a room with Rena, my parents' cat. As my mom has mentioned, Rena is not much of a purrer EXCEPT for first thing in the morning and then she purrs up a storm. Here's a photo of me getting some work done early in the morning with a wonderful, purring Rena in my lap. It might not be the most efficient way to work but I'll take working with a cat any day of the week.

A moment of sweet slumber of loud purring....he is adorable, all 24 lbs. of him. He, having just had a bowl of kibble, has claimed Bailey's new fluffy bed...and so it goes. Happy Caturday everyone.
Hard to describe Marley in one word as he is a cat of many words...."happy" is the first thing I think of. He is always posing for me turning upside down with paws curled up in the air looking at me being ever so cute whenever I talk to him.
He walks around the house with tail up most times, purrs whenever he is fed...a sign of a confident and happy cat. He is also the most gentle of cats...I can't recall ever being scratched by him.

Another test I'm carrying out for the guys at Nikon; their new range of smaller DSLRs aimed at the feline market. Poppy's starting to get the hang of it but the lack of opposable thumbs makes menu selection cumbersome and time-consuming at best. The AE-L/AF-L button is awkwardly placed for paws though the higher viewfinder placement is a boon. It's bloody hard to teach them the rule of thirds too.
