This viney wall of the Mural Amphitheatre...
Mural Amphitheatre is an outdoor gathering space built on a natural hillside. The world famous Space Needle serves as the backdrop for the Puget Sound Region's only mid-size amphitheatre located in the heart of Seattle Center just minutes from downtown Seattle.
The Amphitheatre serves as a primary venue for concerts during the major summer festivals.
Mural History
Built for the 1962 World's Fair, the artistic mural was created by renowned artist Paul Horiuchi. Originally the mural was placed over a pool of water (now the stage) and surrounded by temporary structures, including the IBM building. Today, the Mural Amphitheatre is used for public programming and festivals, such as Northwest Folklife Festival, Bumbershoot, and the Seattle Center outdoor film and concert series.

We’ve acquired another wonderful bird painting. It flew down from Alberta, Canada. Artist and crafts person, Lesley Bergen created
this lovely cut-out painting. Wish I could buy the whole flock.
I told you, I'd be back. The Terminator movie lends itself to all sorts of cool ideas. I love the scene in T2 when the good terminator rips off his arm revealing his cyborg arm...so that is where my inspiration for this shot comes from.
You can view the large version here. Just don't expect much around the torn arm/skin area. I had a hard time trying to replicate a real torn arm. My wife was getting into it, helping me search for surgical images of torn limbs to help me make it look more real. :D Unfortunately we didn't find much that helped, so this is the final product. The cyborg arm looks very cool though I think.
I was using the term "Diarrhea of the Mouth" long before I ever saw it used...since 1995 or 96. I even searched for that term back then in Yahoo! (pre-Google) and that term was nowhere to be found. Now it's everywhere. Dammit...I shoulda coined that phrase! :P
Anyways, I use this term for people who talk WAY too much. All they do is talk talk talk. When you want peace and quiet...they don't. They just want to keep talking. So am I this kind of person? Well, sometimes Jane says I talk to much. But I don't really. Anyone who knows me in real life knows I don't talk all that much. I usually talk with purpose....i.e. I talk when I have something to say.
On the other hand...there are those who are the extreme opposite. They talk your friggin ears off. They need Immodium STFU....:D haha. I'm actually not bothered by people like this. I find it fascinating that they can come up with some much to say. :) Do you know people like this? Are you someone like this?
Yes...I love Canon. When it comes to cameras, I'm a one brand kinda guy. You'll never catch me in bed with a Nikon. Never! :D haha. Unless of course you get me drunk and I got my beer lenses on. ;)
Who are YOU in bed with?
The Monasterio de Santa Catalina is a cloistered convent located in Arequipa, Peru. It was built in 1580 and was enlarged in the 17th century. The over 20,000-square-meter monastery is predominantly of the Mudejar style, and is characterised by the vividly painted walls. There are approximately 20 nuns currently living in the northern corner of the complex; the rest of the monastery is open to the public.[citation needed]
The founder of the monastery was a rich widow, Maria de Guzman. The tradition of the time indicated that the second son or daughter of a family would enter religious service, and the convent accepted only women from high-class Spanish families. Each nun at Santa Catalina had between one and four servants or slaves, and the nuns invited musicians to perform in the convent, gave parties and generally lived a lavish lifestyle. Each family paid a dowry at their daughter's entrance to the convent, and the dowry owed to gain the highest status, indicated by wearing a black veil, was 2,400 silver coins, equivalent to US$50,000 today. The nuns were also required to bring 25 listed items, including a statue, a painting, a lamp and clothes. The wealthiest nuns may have brought fine English china and silk curtains and rugs. Although it was possible for poorer nuns to enter the convent without paying a dowry, it can be seen from the cells that most of the nuns were very wealthy.
In 1871 Sister Josefa Cadena, a strict Dominican nun, was sent by Pope Pius IX to reform the monastery. She sent the rich dowries back to Europe, and freed all the servants and slaves, giving them the choice of remaining as nuns or leaving. In addition to the stories of outrageous wealth, there are tales of nuns becoming pregnant, and amazingly of the skeleton of a baby being discovered encased in a wall. This, in fact, did not happen in Santa Catalina, and there are rumours of the same story in the nearby Santa Rosa convent, as well.
The convent once housed approximately 450 people (about a third of them nuns and the rest servants) in a cloistered community. In the 1960s, it was struck twice by earthquakes, severely damaging the structures, and forcing the nuns to build new accommodation next door. It was then restored and opened to the public. This also helped pay for the installation of electricity and running water, as required by law.
These are pictures I took of Mate's nursery a year ago. The nursery is now very different. Little brother Vincent now shares this space, there's a new big boy bed and other pieces of furniture moved in and out. I took these pictures so I could remember this small but so important space.
My second day in a row with no ideas for 365. So I decided I would try a shot like this one from Dave...aka Macaddict. Only mine didn't come out anywhere as cool as his.
I did 6 or 7 takes and this was the best one. Sad I know. I coulda kept trying but I didn't want to break our bed. :D That and after the second or third take Jane, who was in the next room and heard all the noise I was making, began asking me what the heck I was doing. Didn't want her to walk in on me while I was shooting this. She woulda given me grief.
Another shot of the purple wall showing the doors and shutters. This was outside the most beautiful restaurant in Urla near Izmir.

Actually, this shot is inspired from this guy. I did almost the same shot like his but then I changed his idea to this. Tadaaa! haha.
And ohh,
My sisters insisted on crediting them for this shot.
So yeah.

Spiderman is back! So looking forward to the 3rd installment in this series. Loved the first one, and I thought the second one was even better. I'm expecting great things from the third.
Thanks Julia for the idea. :)
Meet Oliver, a stunning long-haired orange tabby who radiates warmth and comfort in this cozy home portrait. Captured in a moment of pure relaxation, Oliver is lounging on a soft fleece throw that features a playful "tortilla" print, effectively turning him into the cutest burrito filling imaginable. The warm, ambient lighting creates a golden halo around his fluffy ginger coat, contrasting beautifully with the deep purple wall in the background.
His expression is one of soft affection as he gazes directly into the camera lens, showcasing the friendly and laid-back personality often associated with orange cats. One of his legs is stretched out in a casual "drumstick" pose, signaling that he is completely at ease in his environment. From his delicate whiskers to his magnificent neck ruff, this image perfectly encapsulates the simple joys of life with a feline companion: quiet afternoons, soft textures, and unconditional love.
