Abused Abandoned Jungle Dogs.
Tomorrow no# 1's brother will make another
delivery to the nuns at The Monkey Temple.
Today no# 1's sister is taking her around so
she can gather all the goodies for the dogs.
Refilling the first-aid kit is an important issue.
Maybe in a week or so I will be taken to the
monkey temple by no# 1's brother. This plan
is still up in the air right now.
Yesterday I spent most of the day in the hospital
due to complications from the latest broken bones.
Upon my return the computer was fired up and
a flickr mail was found waiting to be read -
A former follower has said ,
-"they are tired of commenting
and getting a 'nasty reply back !"
This knocked the wind right out of my sails...........
It also got me to thinking about the last 6 years of
caring for all the temple dogs.
The relentless dangers involved in just getting out
there and back. The continued road rage that must
be dealt with on the worlds most dangerous roads.
The cobras, pythons, crazed apes, disease infected
insects, poisonous plants, a budget so thin it looks
like a mosquitoes ass stretched over a rain barrel,
monsoons, crossing flooded washed out roads, many
broken bones and lacerations, severe infections
threatening life an limb, leaving a warm bed at 5AM
again and again regardless of weather conditions .
Lugging around heavy camera equipment in order
to document the on going dog saga here in the hot
humid steamy jungle. An environment that stinks to
high heaven from rotting foliage and monkey poop !
An environment where your first mistake will most
likely be your last mistake !
If my replies aren't PC, so be it. I'm "Not" a PC kind of guy.
I'm the guy who's always called to go in and get someone
out of a place that's way to dangerous for anyone else to go !
Why do I continue to care for the temple dogs ?
For peace of mind, and my love of animals.
Will I continue ? Of course I will.
But, I've also decided to take a brake from posting.
If I have offended anyone please except my apology.
In a week or so if no# 1's brother can transport me back
out to the temple I'll post new photos and text if possible.
At this point I want to humbly thank all of you who continue
to post your comments and of course donate to the cause.
The photos and text are done especially for you ............;-)

Abandoned Abused Street Dogs.
This little female puppy was dumped
at the nuns place and now lives with
Mr Kind Monk.
The two puppies that were living at
The Dog Palace with Mr Leg Man
have been MIA for sometime.
The Nuns are still upcountry for some
big Buddha event and will do more
research about the missing puppies
when they return in a couple days.
Pumpkin The Bumpkin is doing
just fine living here with us. Her
wounds have all healed now an
we are just waiting for all her hair
to grow back and cover the scars.
Mr Boney Baloney and
Ms Pumpkin The Bumpkin
are officially engaged .....;-)~
Mr WeeNee BeeNee The Pig Man
officially could care less and just
lays about sleeping and snoring.
Within an hour Boney and I will be
out gathering supplies for tomorrows
run to The Monkey Temple in order to
care for all the temple dogs..................;-)

Abandoned Abused Street Dogs.
Mama had just lost her mom, Mama-san 1.
She spent weeks up on the roof
at The Dog Palace waiting for
her mom to come home.
She never did ......;-(
Around this time I was showing up
most everyday with food for Mama.
So here's some news for y'all.
The Tube has 2 new tires.
Hopefully tomorrow
there will be some
photos taken.
Plan is to be at the temple early.
Bunch of food is now ready.
Computer is on the blink !
If I'm MIA, it won't be 4 long.

Abandoned Abused Street Dogs.
Baby Shadow may be a rising star but
Mama is still "Queen of The Jungle."
Baby Shadow reminds me a lot
of Baby Ding Bat the way she
interacts with the primates.
Sometimes playing and
sometimes fighting ;-)
In a couple of days I'll be back out
at The Monkey Temple handing out
monthly medications for all the adult
dogs and puppy medications to all the
new puppies.Which by my count is three.
With the holiday season upon us now I want
to say Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
And a Big Thank You from all of us out here
in the jungle for your ongoing support.
It's your donations that keeps these jungle
dogs living a semi-comfortable life in a very

Abandoned Abused Street Dogs.
So what's the big deal here you ask ?
They just found out I plan to be there
in tomorrows early light with goodies.
And here's the big plan ..........
The Zoomer has been having health issues.
Yes some mental but mostly physical IMO.
Yesterday a lump on her belly where her
bellybutton would be located was seen.
This morning no# 1 talked about it with
the nurse nun who said The Zoomer
has been running a fever, not good.
My guess, possible "tumor" ?
So, tomorrow a cell phone will be used
to document the lump. Why a cell phone ?
Here's why -
The cell phone will be handed
to the dog doctor for confirmation.
Through his wife who speaks english
we can figure out what we're looking at.
If he gives the nod then travel arrangements
will be made in the next few days in order to bring
Legs The Zoomer in for surgery. Then how to deal with
post-surgery living arrangements. We'll take one step at a time.

Abandoned Abused Street Dogs.
Note the date: Mama is a happy young puppy.
This is at The Dog Palace when Mama lived up
on the 3rd floor with her mom, "Mama-san."
Both dogs were on the 3rd floor roof watching
as I came down the driveway on my scooter.
Baby Mama was the fastest racing down all the
steps to be the first to lick my ears and toes ..;-)~
Want to keep y'all updated on the temple dogs
and my current health issues which reflects on
their well being. Plan is in the works to resupply
the nuns in a couple of days. No# 1's brother will
do the driving, I will be a passenger along with
more dog kibble and and extra needed supplies.
Tried to do it today but no# 1's brother had to go
to work. Not to worry this will happen very soon.
Nuns are contacted regularly, all is fine ..............;-)

Abandoned Abused Street Dogs.
A new " Boy Toy" for Baby Shadow ..........;-)
4:15AM, no# 1 wife and her sister have just
finished cooking a special meal 4 the nuns.
Along with all the other dog stuff, camera
gear, the special food was wrapped and
strapped to the scooter. Within minutes
I'm heading in an easterly direction for
The Monkey Temple.5:33AM, still
real dark and I pull up to the
nuns bungalows.Dogs
are going nuts..;-)
So why did I go directly to the nuns and not to
the bingo room first as usual ? Good question.
And here's your answer..There was way to much
stuff on board for the nuns. Would have been very
difficult to carry from the bingo room all the way over
to the nuns along with all the other dog goodies I carry.
Rocky and Mama raced me over to The Dog Palace
where the feed bags were prepared then off we went
back across the concrete walking bridge stopping once
again at the nuns.Picked up Baby Shadow who has started
imitating the older dogs when it comes to chasing off the apes.
Then headed for The Spirit House with all four dogs way ahead
of me clearing the path while playing grab ass with each -other !
The hot-dogs were handed out along with a bag of fresh kibble.
Circled back to the nuns then off I went to care for The Hooligans.
OK, now for this photo .. Baby Shadow is on your left.
Her new Boy Toy play-mate is full of energy and doesn't
back down one bit from her tough rowdy rough-housing !
I don't know the story behind him but he's here right now !
This is the last temple run I'll be making this year.
Most likely January the 2nd will be the next run.
I want to thank all of you who have supported
us with comments and of course with much
needed financial support for these dogs.
We wouldn't be able to make it here
without your on going support.
This is a brutal unforgiving jungle environment.
Where your first mistake is, and most likely,
your very last mistake ! A place not for

Abandoned Abused Street Dogs.
Rain, thunder & lightning all night long.
5:20AM when I left for The Monkey Temple.
Storm had letup and it was a very soggy mess.
Rocky, Mama, and Baby Mickey met me at the gate.
Lots of wiggling, licking, talking an unbridled emotions.
Needless to say, these three greeters were way excited !
All the temple dogs were cared for as usual.
The Zoomer is doing just fine. Mama inspected
everybody from nose to toes. Rocky needed extra
attention just because he's Rocky, and that's why ;-)
The same adventure took place at The Spirit House.
Due to the heavy storms very few monkeys were here.
Obnoxious thunder was prevalent during today's
adventure.Never stopped, still happening now !
Looks like Miss Molly has a serious boyfriend.
I've seen him around for a few weeks but he
stays way far away so a photo was never
taken.But, today he came in close and
was friendly. Problem being my hands were
busy trying to get a monthly medication down
her throat as she missed her pill a few days ago.
So !, next time I'll document him and Miss Molly.
FYI: He's a good looking black/light tan shepard.
Also the plan is to neuter Mickey in the near future.
Now here's some not so good news --
I just came back from going over the
scooter sidecar and noticed a fresh
spot of oil right under the engine !
Spot's about 4 inches across .;-(
Scoooter's 13 yrs old and has been well
maintained throughout it's entire life.
But has also spent it's life in a very
brutal unfriendly jungle environment !
Just one more thing to deal with ;-)

daily - large bags of steamed rice, mixed
with pork, chicken, fish and a side order
of milk for both of them.Medications for
internal parasites has been hidden inside

He's a Big Monster with the monkeys but
a soft Gentle Giant with the puppies .......;-)

to administer their monthly meds.
The scooter also needs my
undivided attention as
the chain is old and
tired, just like me.

Abandoned Abused Street Dogs.
Lets take a step back to the "proper etiquette"
photo where Mama's teaching Shadow some
new rules that must be followed at all times.
After a shot was fired across the bow Shadow
quickly figured out what isn't acceptable.
Couple minutes later Mama finished
eating and all was back to normal.
Rocky, Mama, The Zoomer and
Baby Shadow played all the
way back to the nuns ..;-)
Once there the nuns had a special meal made
for The Baby Shadow. Small pieces of cooked
chicken, peas & carrots all placed in cooked
rice. Really soupy stuff perfect for puppies.
Once no# 1 and I get the transportation
figured out Baby Shadow will be going
in for puppy shots and stuff at the dog
clinic. We'll do our best to make this
happen as soon as possible .......;-)

Abandoned Abused Street Dogs.
Part of yesterday was spent gathering
dog supplies including a trip to the
dog doctor for k-9 worm pills.
Enough pills for every dog
to swallow 2 large pills.
Notice the word "Swallow" was used ?
That means "I" have to get 2 large
pills down each dogs throat !
Now, most of the dogs
won't be a problem.
But, some of them will be like trying to
shove a wet noodle up a monkeys butt !
50% aren't fooled by the old piece of
hot-dog with the pill hidden inside trick.
With the monthly meds it's no big deal
cuz the pill is so small they fall for it.
But these pills are way big .;-)~~~
So, I sit up in bed knowing it's around
the usual time I take off 4 The Monkey
Temple. Reached over and checked the
cell phone for the time. Hhhmm, 4:43AM.
That means, I'm either late, or I'm early !
Now, my ears hear a familiar thumping
sound. Peeking over the side of the bed I
see two bright happy eyes that are attached to
the same tail that is thumping on the floor. And
now the yawning talk starts, Pumpkin has a big
story to share with me this morning ......... .;-)~~~
Camera bag is packed after double checking
the camera for CF card and full charged battery.
Not to worry as there's double backup for the CF
cards and battery already packed in the cam bag .
Start packing the small cooler that's always
strapped behind me on the scooters seat.
There's lots of blue/red reflective tape on
the cooler. Small piece of insurance so
headlights behind me gets a visual !
Held a pair of camouflage shorts out
in front of me and with one leap for
mankind jumped straight up into
the air and came down with
both legs in their proper
place. Cinched up the
belt, threw on a thin
cotton shirt and
started filling
my pockets.
Boney Baloney has now joined Pumpkin
who is still talking away as her tail hits
my legs. Boney tilts his head in total
amusement with how I put my
camouflage shorts on 2 legs
at a time, but he's easily
amused sometimes.
Next the windbreaker with reflection
patches on the back and the helmet.
Now, when the door was first opened
all three dogs zipped outside, I follow.
It smelled like rain in the air, not good.
We've had heavy rain yesterday so I
didn't want to go but looking down into
Pumpkins eyes I knew I had to go. Go an
get all the temple dogs cared for with the
big white pills that are in my cargo pocket.
So, what did I do you ask ?
Well, I went, what did ya think
I was going to do, not go .....;-)~
- I'm On A Mission From Dog -
Not much road rage, some but not bad.
And for an added bonus - Didn't Rain -
Gate at The Dog Palace was open so
there's no need to stop and open it.
Coasted right in, dismounted and
prepared myself for the crazy
dogs that are going to be
crashing into me.......;-)
And sure enough, less then a minute later three
K9's came racing at full speed ahead and got me.
Mamas talking up a storm, Rocky wants to lick my
ears while a very wet Baby Mickey goes 4 my toes.
So why is Baby Mickey so wet I ask myself, puzzled ?
Raced to The Bingo Room and did all the same same.
Now, I'm packed an loaded heavy for todays adventure.
Okey Dokey, so now we'll discuss this photo in detail.
Figured out real quick why Baby Mickey was wet and
Mama and Rocky were bone dry when I showed up.
The Royals had already passed Mickey and simply
leaped over the swamp water, no big deal unless
you are a puppy and have real short puppy legs.
But, most importantly is, his heart of a lion !
He's having trouble judging the depth
and width of the stinky swamp water.
Encouraging words brought him across.
By across, he made it 2/3rds the way
across then splashed down. Didn't
slow him down one bit as he kept
plowing right on through the
swamp water an up to me.
Checked in with the nuns, started the pill project.
Kinda sorta turned into a comical circus routine.
But with help didn't turn out to bad so off we go.
Next stop - The Spirit House - Lots of monkeys !
The monkeys see Baby Mickey as a toy that
they came play with whenever they want.
But, not such a good idea when Mama
or Mr Rocky are within their reach !
Next, The Hooligans also started the pill project.
This episode of todays pill maintenance
project was absolutely crazy-insane like.
They all wanted a piece of hot-dog at the
same time. DJ was very vocal about his
share of the bounty. 2-Tone wanted to
sit in my lap, and she's a big girl now.
Angel Eyes is jumping up trying her
best to stick her tongue in my ear.
Boo Boo is trying his very best
to avoid Mr DJ at all costs.
So, here's a visual for you .
I'm sitting in a plastic chair close to The Head Monk.
Plastic bag full of chopped pieces of hot-dog is in my
lap. In my hand is a small plastic bag full of real big pills.
Monkeys and silly temple chickens are running around us.
All four dogs want to sit on my head or at least have my un-
divided attention for ever, if not forever then for much longer.
My hands are slimy from their saliva and they keep spitting
the big white pills out after consuming the hot-dog meat.
Now, trying to pick up a wet slimy pill and sticking it back
into a piece of hot-dog is a difficult task. And why's that
you ask ? - Because while this is going on all the dogs
keep jockeying for a better position closer to the bag
full of hot-dog meat that is cradled in my lap for
protection from The Hooligans. So, how'd it
end you ask again ? All in all we had a lot
of fun, nobody got bit only fake rolled-
lips showing teeth. In 6 months we
do it all over again, what fun ;-)~
Mama and I ended up back at The Dog Palace where
Sweet Molly was fed and also given 2 big pills which
was no problem at all with her. She has lots of scars.
Got the dog brush out and and started doing my thing.
In time, packed the scooter and scooted on down the road.

Abused Abandoned Jungle Dogs.
I really miss this dog, she was a keeper.
Photo was taken on the path between
The Dog Palace and the concrete walking
bridge you've all seen many times before..
Of course Mama is close by guarding Freckles.
Rocky is patiently waiting with Legs on the bridge.
Have some more good news from the doctors today.
They poked and prodded, asked a few questions then
said, " stitches remove in two days". Music to my ears .;-)
Nurses cleaned the wound, wrapped me up in brand new
bandages then sent me on my way till tomorrow morning.
So in my mind that means maybe this week end we'll be
back on schedule at The Monkey Temple.
Now this doesn't mean yes for certain but it doesn't mean
no either, so I'll go with "Yes". That's how I read it anyway !

Siberian huskies have always been one of my all time most favoritest dogs on the planet... and I think I'm going to be in big trouble if I ever meet this one again, because it loves me, and I might just take it home with me without telling the owner. =P I was told it was a little shy and didn't like being around humans or other dogs... I nodded at the warning, knelt down on one knee and stuck my hand out and she jumped on me and started licking my face! The owner said she never like this around most people, I smiled and said "I'm not mostpeople, I'm dog people." :)
The EXIF data and focusing skills would suggest I took this shot, but it might have been my sister just using my camera. Either way, the shot is Charlie on his first birthday. The lucky dog gets a new birthday hat every year (you can see how much he looks forward to it!). I'll post years 2 through 4 in future updates. Try to stay calm.

Morning light had just arrived as
I pulled into The Dog Palace.
Dismounted the scooter in
order to open the gate.
Spun around and
Rocky plows
into me.
Surprisingly Baby Mickey landed
on my feet and went to town
licking my bare toes.....;-)
This is a first for Mickey, he's never
crossed The Concrete Walking Bridge.
Last but not least Mama was on the scoop.
The Bingo Room is aired out, feed bags are
prepared, camera settings are set, list is ck-ed.
OMG ! ,
What list is checked you ask ?
The med list, to see who gets
what, when, and where, list.
Photo takes place at The Spirit House.
The Zoomer, pretending to be invisible, is
a "nano-second" away from pouncing onto
the monkeys if they try to touch Baby Mickey.
Mama came charging up the steps scattering
all the silly monkeys in 360 different directions.
Why did I use the number 360 ?
Because in reality there was
about 360 monkeys there.
Might have been 369
or possibly 420 ?
Of course 360 degrees means
your completely surrounded.
And that my friends is exactly
what we were, surrounded !
Same Same, But Different !
Once we had finished here we wandered back
to the nuns place then off to care 4 The Hooligans.
Now Little Mickey is starting to feel like he owns
the place causing him to forget some of the rules.
When I crossed the boundary line that separates
The Hooligans Turf from The Mamas Crews Turf
Little Mickey didn't even slow down, not good !
Mama, The Zoomer and Mr Rocky always lay
down on the make-believe line in the sand.
I noticed all The Hooligan eyes and cones
were on heightened alert and pointed
directly behind me. Swiveling my
head around I spot Mickey and
his busy little legs trying to
catch-up. Coming up
fast is The Royals.
Mama & Rocky circle Micky
then lay down in front of him.
Hooligans were cool with that.
Fed Molly a second meal back
at The Dog Palace then went
back to the nuns where I
proceeded to brush
all the dogs and
check 4 dings,
bugs & stuff.
Couple hours later the scooter is
packed and I'm heading home
where more rescued dogs
are awaiting my arrival.

chanhi was a permapuppy..
she had the fattest paws and the brightest eyes. she was little and her skin was thick, mushy and soft, i loved to just press my face into her squishy forehead.. she was soo warm and sweet and cute.
i always called her 'brighteyes', and i called her a 'drunken monkey' all the time, because when i tried to move her she became a dead weight. she got so relaxed so it was sort of easy to move her, but she got really heavy, so it was a little difficult. also her eyes reminded me a lot of a monkey, like a chimp. and she was never fixed so she had to wear diapers when she went in heat which made her look even more like a baby chimp.
and i called her a 'wise wizard' a lot, because of her white nose. it wasn't as white when she was younger and it grew whiter as she aged (not that she ever got old). also she was nice and daydreamed a lot so i thought she was wise.
oh ya, i used to always call her a 'little acrobat', 'break~dancer' and 'bucking bronco' because she did cartwheels, and things of that nature when she was excited!

I ordered an 85mm 1.8 lens a few months back, and played around with it for a few days. These were two shots I took during the time I had it. I love Fender's paws/pads, and he's always had the sweetest little curl at the tip of his tail. So I made this little diptych. I ended up sending the lens back and getting the 50mm 1.4, it suits my needs much better.I really want to get a 35mm next :)
TJ is home and resting. No answers though. Vet thinks the fever was from a tooth issue (really bad teeth) and that the diarrhea was coincidental. The tests came back normal so he only will be concerned if he keeps vomitting. He thinks the blood in the stool may have been from K-9 Colitis. So we sit...and wait to see what happens over the next 24 to 48 hours. :(

It's crazy how big Noah has grown. This was taken just a few months ago and he has literally doubled in size. Gosh, I miss his fuzzy little head. lol
I did very little processing to soften the look, but still preserve the way he really looked in the moment. He really is as sweet as he looks!

Had the honor of being asked to do engagement shots for an ex-coworker of mine. They had a corgi that did a great job of posing for these pics. Many pup-peroni were devoured during these shots.
