Looking straight into the outflow from the Lake Eppalock Pump Station. Crazy that this was captured a little over a week before the water levels increased to the bottom of the windows!

here's something fun which was done for Art & Sole.
The TOY posse had to create their favourite pair of Sneakers. I went with the reebok pump as i wanted something that had a bit of a novelty to it. After some more searching, i based this piece on the proto pumps which featured a dial instead which looked more interesting to me anyway.
then i got carried away and made a swamp thing monster wearing them.

A tour guide points to a large water pump that used to pump water into the city. The Zorn Water Pump Station is on the banks of the Ohio River at Louisville. Tours nowadays do not allow photography inside the pump station, even with a smartphone.
I loved the warping that my old Samyang fish-eye lens for a cropped APS-C camera gave; unfortunately, the unusual lens was slightly soft. The starbursts it produced (at f/3.5?) were a bit strange, too.
So what do you do when your wife is surfing the internet wearing her new pink pumps? Easy: Take as many pictures as you can! ;)

Sandfields Pumping Station, Lichfield, erected by the South Staffordshire Waterworks Company. The building contains the preserved 65 inch condensing beam engine built in 1873 by G & J Davies.
Steam driven reciprocating boiler feed pump fitted to a Ransome, Simms & Jefferies 4 nhp portable steam engine.
I love old pumps. My Scotty friends have this one in their back garden. I painted it several different ways.
