They are no longer doing this.

I hardly use the built in flash of my D40. We were playing outside and the shadows were just too harsh. I decided to fight the fear of using the flash and fired on this one. I stopped down the flash bias lower though. You can now see Jacob's feet and air-pump. BTW, I was standing in front of him by about 1 meter.
Looking forward to getting a flash gun soon! I am balancing between budget with the Nissin Di622 or reputation with the Nikon SB-600.
I am so lucky. One day and one clue left for May's Monthly Scavenger Hunt. I look out the window and my neighbor is having her septic tank pumped out!

Working out pump flow and return on my pc loop. Left angled down at 45deg is Pump Out, Top Right will be Pump Return. Bottom 90deg leg will be pump fill and or drain

I talked to a man who lives across Rt. 250 from the store, and he said it closed up in the late 1980's, though someone tried to turn it into a junk/antique store that didn't do much business. To see that old hand-cranked pump though is something else.
I started out with the 28mm, then 35mm, and finished with the 50mm/f1.4. All good lenses, no issues with flare. I had the appropriate OEM hoods on them all.
