As I sang along to every single word tonight, I realized Pulp represents a time in my life where I thought I knew who I was, who I'd become and how things were going to go in life. I was wrong. I knew nothing then, and I likely know nothing now. It's not a positive or a negative. It's just what it is. A lot of the relationships Jarvis sings about, I thought I would experience. That's what it feels like to be an adult, I thought. In fact, I haven't felt many of those things. But again, maybe that's not a bad thing. Pulp will always be dear to me, and I feel so lucky for being at this show tonight with my very good friend, Leslie, who I know appreciated Jarvis and all his glory just as much.
