We spent this Earth Day making paper from paper and then making stuff, not paper, from that pulp

Seen along the banks of the Seine.

One of many challenges on Finca Nuguo is the lack of electricity. Here the pupling machine is hand cranked, but this pulper is geared out making hand cranking easy. The season's last harvest was less than 50 lbs but we picked, pulped and we floated the coffee in the back of Jose's house back in David later that night. The coffee was dried in his temp/humidity controlled drying room in David.
