The daftness that is Torchwood lends itself so well to the the old school type pulp Sci Fi mags that I felt I had to have a go at creating a fake cover for one. Made from multiple base images/brushes and textures, I think this nearly made me burst a blood vessel creating it.
As the song says "Science fiction, (ooh ooh ooh) double feature....."

We shall see if our new book on fermented vegetables is taking us down a good road. We were making our usual sweet potato and carrot juice pulp crackers and noticed they were a little dry. We tried adding kimchi juice for moisture and lactic acid goodness. They are dehydrating now so we will know tomorrow if this experiment is worth repeating.

【剧 情】：
《低俗小说》由“文森特和马沙的妻子”、“金表”、“邦妮的处境”三个故事以及影片首尾的序幕和尾声五个部分组成。
盗贼“小南瓜”和“小兔子”是一对情侣，他们在早餐时突发奇想决定打劫正在就餐的餐馆和里面的众多顾客，并立即拔枪开始行动。
马沙·华莱士是在洛杉矶只手遮天的黑社会大哥，最近以布莱特为首的几个年轻人侵吞了他一只装满黄金的皮箱，于是派手下朱尔斯和文森特去夺回这只箱子。清晨，朱尔斯和文森特到达目的地并闯进了那几个人的房间，正在吃早饭的三个年轻人都十分惊恐。文森特找到箱子后，朱尔斯就杀死了除内线马文以外的两个青年，象往常一样，在杀人之前，他背诵了一段钟爱的《圣经》。
一、文森特和马沙的妻子
在一间僻静的酒吧里，马沙正在和拳击手布奇谈话，要求他在下一场拳赛里故意输给对手，这样他就能得到一笔不薄的收入。在布奇拿钱离去的同时，完成任务的朱尔斯和文森特带着皮箱回来向马沙交差。由于有事要外出，马沙又给了文森特一个新的任务，让他陪自己的妻子蜜娅一个晚上。
离开马沙后，有毒瘾的文森特到毒贩兰斯那里买了一包海洛因。晚上，他从马沙家里接走蜜娅，两人去共进晚餐。晚餐后，蜜娅和文森特通过默契的配合，夺得了一次跳舞比赛的冠军，从而满意而归。
在文森特去厕所的时候，蜜娅无意中在文森特的外衣里找到那包海洛因，便吸食起来。从厕所出来后，文森特发现吸毒过量的蜜娅已经昏死过去。惊恐万分的文森特驾车把垂死的蜜娅带到毒贩兰斯的家里，经过一番手忙脚乱的抢救后，蜜娅终于苏醒过来。
把蜜娅安全送回家后，文森特才松了口气。
二、金表
拳击手布奇有一块祖传的金表，也是他死于越战的父亲留给他的遗物，所以他对这块金表格外珍惜。
为了从博彩中得到更大的一笔收入，布奇违背了他对马沙许下的诺言。在拳赛中他将对手活活打死后，迅速地逃离了现场。马沙闻讯后大怒，发誓一定要将布奇干掉。此时，布奇顺利地回到事先定好的汽车旅馆里，第二天一早他就可以和女友菲比一起远走高飞了。
但第二天早上布奇发现菲比竟然在慌乱中忘记带上那块金表，于是他只好冒险去回家取表。在自己家里，布奇杀死了蹲守的文森特，取回了金表。在回来的路上，文森特竟然遇到了马沙。追杀中，他们都跌跌撞撞地闯进一家杂货店内。而该店的老板梅纳德将两人击昏并捆绑起来。梅纳德叫来一个同伙撒德，两人都是同性恋变态狂，他们把马沙带到一间暗室内强暴。布奇乘机挣开绳索逃走，但又决定回去搭救马沙。于是他用刀劈死了梅纳德，挣脱了的马沙则开枪把撒德打成重伤。最后在布奇为他保密的前提下，马沙冰释前嫌放过了布奇。
三、邦妮的处境
在朱尔斯和文森特开枪打死布莱特时，厕所里还躲着一个他的同党。这个人突然冲出来向朱尔斯和文森特开枪，但十分不幸的是，他一枪都没能打中目标。在结果这个倒霉的小子之后，朱尔斯认为此次的幸免于难不但是上帝的“神迹”，对他更是一道神谕，所以他决定从此退出黑帮洗手不干。文森特却对此不以为然。随后，他们俩带上马文一起离开去向马沙交差。
在路上，文森特不慎走火打死了坐在后排的马文，弄得车内血肉横飞，一塌糊涂。
为了避免被警察发现，他们只好到住在附近的朋友吉米家寻求帮助。可“惧内”的吉米告诉他们这样一个事实，他妻子邦妮再过一个多小时就要下班回家，如果她看到这个情景，一定会愤怒地向他提出离婚的。朱尔斯只好向马沙求助。不一会儿，由马沙派来的“狼”先生就赶到吉米家中。在精明干练的“狼”先生的指挥下，朱尔斯和文森特迅速清洗了汽车，换上了干净的衣服，在邦妮回家前妥善地处理了问题。
告别“狼”先生后，朱尔斯和文森特到一家小餐馆里吃早饭。在谈起早上的“神迹”时，朱尔斯打算放弃杀手的生活，准备象苦行僧一样去追求真理而四处流浪。在文森特上厕所的时候，独自一人的朱尔斯在餐馆里赶上了影片开头展现的那场抢劫。朱尔斯把钱包交给了“小南瓜”，但“小南瓜”更关心朱尔斯身边的皮箱。在打开皮箱的一瞬，朱尔斯制服了“小南瓜”，并稳定住了大惊失色的“小兔子”和刚从厕所出来的文森特。朱尔斯又背诵了一遍那段熟悉的《圣经》，不过这次并没有杀人，而是向众人讲述了自己从中悟出的哲理，最后放走了这对盗贼，自己也和文森特一起离开。

Dopo aver visto i risultati dei miei autoscatti casalinghi, le mie compagne di classe della prestigiosissima scuola di fotografia analogica che brillantemente frequento, mi hanno convinta (abbastanza facilmente a dire il vero) a farlo di nuovo. Ma stavolta in sala posa e con un po’ + di organizzazione (almeno questi erano i propositi!). A parte le 10 ore di trucco a cui mi sono dovuta sottoporre, a parte la parrucca presa in prestito da un amico dalla vita notturna decisamente dubbia e molto intensa, a parte il mio esuberante decolté che sfuggendo di continuo al mio controllo mi ha provocato svariati imbarazzi e fin troppo intuibili battute, a parte il mal di schiena dovuto a quasi due ore in cui il mio non + agile corpicione è stato costretto in una posizione solo apparentemente comoda (Uma Thurman sì che c’ha er fisico!), a parte le 10 (e sottolineo DIECI) persone armate di macchine fotografiche reflex che mi giravano intorno scattandomi foto da ogni angolazione possibile sotto la cocente e disorientante luce dei riflettori, a parte tutto…qualcosa siamo riusciti ad ottenere.
Queste sono alcune foto di backstage scattate in digitale dalle mie amiche Alice e Maddalena. Le foto ufficiali giacciono ancora in modo latente sulla pellicola tri-x montata sulla Zenza Bronica in nostra dotazione. Scusa Quentin. Perdonami Uma. Comunque vi amerò per sempre!
