If she gets any happier, her head will explode. Right after this she persuaded us to walk her around the block an extra time. She does this thing where she'll face the direction she wants to go and refuse to budge until you walk in that direction. Then she'll giggle and follow. Try to go in a different direction and she holds her ground. She did this even before we got the wheelchair for her.

Watch her tail wagging right from the start :) By the end, her tail is curled up over her back. Not as tightly as it used to curl when she was younger, but for a pug with ever diminishing mobility in her hindquarters, it's pretty impressive ♥

This was taken last night just before it started to get dark. My husband is giving her treats every so often as positive reinforcement. This is only her second time outside in the wheelchair, so it's still a little overwhelming for her. Especially since she can hardly see or hear. She has this habit of allowing herself to fall back into a seated position, which you can't do in a wheelchair, so she ends up rolling backwards --- and then gets kind of confused as to why she's moving backwards. So when she moves forwards we reward her efforts with a little bit of chicken :)

She's as silly as I am :D

It was cold outside and pouring down rain today so we did indoor sports instead. Beebs isn't into toys but she is into food, so we played her favorite game --- Catch The Person Who Has The Snack. The princess hat has nothing to do with the game. I just thought I'd put it on her in honor of Halloween.

Normally Beebs doesn't like the rain and refuses to walk in it. We got this ladybug raincoat for her last year, hoping it would inspire her to brave the rain. It works really well at keeping her dry, but Beebs still wouldn't budge. So I assumed it would be no different now that she has wheels. I wanted to give her the opportunity for her daily constitutional even though it was raining, so that at least she knew we tried. I draped her little raincoat on her, strapped her into her wheelchair and carried her outside. SHE ACTUALLY WENT FOR A WALK IN THE RAIN. I couldn't believe it. I was fully prepared for her sullen pug refusal to move.

The only conclusion I can come to is that she really likes her wheels. They even make rainy walks bearable.

We're at the dog park with Beebs when the world's smallest fire engine rolls down the street behind us at a battery operated speed of about two miles per hour. Note the look of pained envy on Bebe's face.

"Motorized wheels," is what she's thinking. "Their ride is cooler than mine. That's what I want for Christmas --- motorized wheels like theirs. Do they make them for pugs?"

I asked my husband to take this while we were walking Bebe just before sunset. I might end up deleting it. I don't know. I feel guilty that there aren't any self-portraits posted from this month, so this was my lame attempt at doing something about that.

I really hate taking self-portraits.

As you can see, Beebs was eager to continue the walk and didn't appreciate having to stop to pose for a photo.

And she is not amused by it at all.

This was around 1:30 in the morning. You can hear us trying not to laugh and me saying, "She's such a little goblin," as Beebs makes her funny little excited pug sounds ♥

Poised and ready for action :) The fact that she's wagging her tail is amazing. The diminished mobility in her hind legs extends to her tail, so when she wags her tail these days it means she's especially happy!

All her rolls make her look like a slinky on wheels here :D

Check out her tail! She went for a walk around the neighborhood in her tutu. She's so fast that I have trouble getting pics of her in motion.

It was a rainy cold day so we did indoor sports again. She gets very excited when we pull out the wheels. I wish we could've taken her outside but it was so miserable that she would've hated it.

It only looks like she's walking on her ankles. In reality her paws are flat on the ground. At this point I took the sneakers off her front paws to prevent Beebs from stumbling in them. This was a pug sneakers fail. Again.

Damn.

She was very pleased ♥ It took weeks of watching and waiting before there was a sunny day with enough pink petals on the ground for me to get this shot. The fallen petals elsewhere in our neighborhood had all turned brown. This was the last pink spot left.

Beebs got her wheels today! So excited!! She loves them! This is a picture of her inside, wheeling around on the carpet. We took her outside and she had big fun rolling across the grass and up and down the sidewalks! She even went up a slight hill while a neighbor cheered her on :D I took pictures of all of it, but Flickr's being too slow for me to upload them right now. I really should take video of her in action. She's so cute in her cart!

Beebs takes her first steps in her custom sneakers. This was before it all fell to shit and we ended up right back at square one :) Oh, well.

She loves her wheelchair. She runs across the carpet in this thing. I have never witnessed her running before. It is very cute :)

I'll probably be flooding my stream with pics of Beebs. I can't help it. She's so excited to be wheeling around in warm weather ♥

Beebs is definitely a warm weather pug. It was sunny and too warm for a sweater today and she loved it. She was so happy that she wheeled around indoors for a while after we got home instead of roosting in the kitchen until her snack was served like she usually does.

In her new pink Minky panties that I made for her yesterday. And yes, she has a Tokidoki rainbow on her wheels. She's had that since last year though. But I think this is the first time it's made an appearance on Flickr.

Her ruffle bum panties are in the works. They will be pink satin. I've got three rows of ruffles so far.

Beebs has allergies. This is her sneezing and snuffling through a trip to the ruins. Needless to say, she was picked up and carried for 99% of this excursion. She enjoyed that part.

Beebs is loving all the smells outside lately. She did not want to keep her walk to a reasonable length today. She wanted to explore and sniff everything. This is also her first walk in the red and white panties I sewed for her. They're flannel, but remind me of swimwear for some reason.

Beebs tests out her wheels on new terrain and finds them very satisfactory. Today was our first trip to the dog park closest to where we live. She didn't need as many treats on today's walk. As soon as we set her in her wheelchair she headed for the door, so she knows those wheels are made for walking and she has more confidence in her ability now.

Beebs brings the heat! She's so sexy that she bursts into flames!

This was an oops. I was messing with the settings on my camera while walking backwards in front of Beebs, crouched down, in the dark.

Beebs rocks her pink satin parka on a damp autumn walk ♥ If you look closely you can see her little tail curled up over her back :)

It's hard to photograph Beebs when she really gets rolling, especially on grey days when it's getting dark outside.

I took this in the dark. I brought my camera on Bebe's walk, hoping to photograph wild baby bunnies. Unfortunately, they only show up when I don't have my camera with me. Beebs didn't seem to mind their absence, though.

She's got chalk on her wheels from sidewalk drawings. Our sidewalks have been decorated in pastel hopscotch squares and doodles everyday for weeks.

Taking her custom pug booties for their first test drive on the sidewalk! So far so good! She's walking too fast for me to get clear photos of her, yet the booties are staying on :) So far. Won't last.
