Le carlin est une race de chien provenant de Chine et existant en Europe depuis au moins le XVIᵉ siècle. Il est connu sous l'appellation de Pug aux États-Unis, au Brésil en Australie et en Angleterre et de Mops en Allemagne et en Russie.
Ok this is officially my first photo by my new Nikon L330, and I’m not sure what I’m doing. But pug wanted to pose, so I snapped away. Things will hopefully improve!

A scene very unlikely to be repeated for a long time, if at all. A recreation of days gone by on shed at the East lancashire Railway in Bury
I was very happy to find another double-striped pug moth caterpillar on a rudbeckia flower yesterday. It looked like he/she was having playtime with some friends but the friends were just the sepals of the rudbeckia flower pushing through the gap between the petals. They did look extremely insect like though.
I couldn't figure out from my books which of the pug moths this is; any ideas most welcome.
The moth was in an awkward spot on the wall of the house and I was struggling to position the tripod and get the whole moth in the frame of my MP-E 65mm lens. I decided it wasn't going to fit, but looking at the image, I can see it would have! The moth was very obliging by staying still for the 3.2 s exposure.
Pugs numbers 51241 and 51218 are seen bursting under the road bridge at Bury South on the East Lancashire Railway. This was a photographic event, photo taken from a place of safety
First shot with my new Olympus 40-150mm f/2.8 lens that my wife got me for my birthday yesterday. I have no idea how she knew I wanted that lens but I'm definitely looking forward to using it!

When you consider how many years Isabel was with us, I didn't get too many photos of her. I found this one on an old hard drive, and reworked it in Luminar4.2
This little dog was a muse for many of my blog posts. Miss her dearly.
