Painted roof signs on The Navigation Inn, Marsh Road, Middlesbrough.
"Worthington Creamy Low Bitter" and "Bar Snacks" are painted over "Pub Grub" and a magnet logo for another brand of alcoholic beverage. This pub is near Middlesbrough FC Riverside Stadium, hence the sign over the door, "Sorry No Away Supporters".
Update 05/07/11: from a distance it looks like there are new roof tiles and this sign has gone
The Holly Tree public house.
Unfortunately I cannot find any details regarding the year it was built but I think it looks quite likely 1860's-80's, it has been much bullied and destructively renovated over the last 30yrs.

"I think I'll have the fish and chips, what about you?"
I took this candid of these two while they were studying the menu at "The Anchor" pub in Silver Street, Cambridge. I returned the next evening for the sausages and mash and a couple of pints - lovely!
Under new management and all spruced up and ready for action.
There are a lot of pubs called The Miners Arms or The Miners Standard in the Peak District, due to the lead mining heritage.
Steak Sandwich - Swan Hotel, Richmond.
Huge for AUD11.90! I ended up eating the filling like a steak and only one slice of the Turkish bread.
Cool place, Temple Bar. Dublin has its own version of "Bourbon Street" but much nicer. Great collection of little pubs, music, and loads of people. Pub grub and pints was what we did while people-watching and it was great fun.

This is a Tuna dish. The shot won't get used for anything as I was asked to photograph vertically. I just did this one for my own amusement.
For some reason, we've always gone to The Lounge Upstairs for a parma or steak sandwich. Being a Friday, the upstairs was packed, so we decide to grab a room in the much more chillin' lounge downstairs. The decor is nice and more posh than the grungey upstairs.
We had the AUD10 lunch special of the a calzone with Hungarian salami, roasted tomatoes, grilled capsicums and spinach. A very nice combination of flavours, especially with the sweet roasted tomatoes.
Chris and Karen's Fish and Chips looked pretty good too. I definitely have to give that a try next time!

Succulent chicken breast with a crisp crumb crust let down by the weak tomato sauce. The cheese topping could be a bit more browned as well!
The serving seems to have shrunk a little, fair enough, given that it used to be called a "Big Arse Parma". Now it is 50c cheaper and just called Chicken Parmigiana.
The orange juice was a bit of a shocker at AUD4 though!
