Here I am in the southeast corner of my bedroom next to my back door. When I open the door, I step out into my carport.

2hr exposure at Mt. John Observatory at Lake Tekapo.
The silhouette on the bottom left is one of the domes.
I was playing around with Ms Tripod, and as luck would have it, my hair blocked anyone from seeing anything they aren't supposed to see. Well, you can see another angle of my hippie girl's bedroom but none of my fabulous outfits that I'm not wearing. This photo is rated G and shows less of me than what folks around my apartment swimming pool see of me when I am wearing my bikini.
Look into my eyes if you like what you see and want to see more. I am a hippie girl who has been around the block a few times. The posters on my north wall have been in my collection since the late 1960's and early '70's.
Although I listen to classical music most of the time these days, I often play CD's of psychedelic rock from that glorious era. Beginning with Jimi Hendrix, I went to a lot of concerts featuring the hottest rock bands of the US, Europe, and Mexico. Lately I've attended chamber music concerts of local first class musicians, talk to them and praise them for their work, and even hug a few of them. I hope I don't look it, but I even get a senior discount.
The dress I'm wearing glows under black light, and I have worn it dancing at a local nightclub called Barbarella. When those posters were brand new, I would never have dreamed of doing such a thing; however, I have gone dancing as you see me for over a quarter of my life. On my lips is the dark burgundy lipstick that I made at home using the process shown in the previous photo. It is a little bit darker than "Vixen" a Revlon nail color I'm wearing. My lashes are by Ardell.
In making this photo, I set Ms Tripod on a low Ottoman stool, set the timer, and dashed around my bed to assume what I hoped would be a sexy, provocative pose. If you were in my hippie girl's playroom, I would likely be in a more accessible position.
Some of my Flickr friends have seen these posters in photos of my bedroom at my old (2007-12) apartment. I moved about three miles further west a couple of years ago when my old place was condemned for redevelopment. My apartment is OK but not as good as the old place; however, my neighbors and apartment management are nice. We even have parties once or twice a month or people can get to know each other. Unfortunately the entrance to my apartment complex is surrounded by ugly strip centers, and there are no trees along this part of the street or parks nearby.
I got these posters in the late 1960's and early 1970's and all of them glow under black light.
I have lots of esoteric interests that will blow your mind, and I like to talk about them over dinner and a few glasses of wine or beer. This photo is from a series I took this past December featuring the psychedelic dress I got from Coquetry last summer and the dark plum lipstick I made that night.
Just me and my little Bunny, nothing else. 'Twas the day after Christmas, and all through the house: nobody to play with me.
Artwork by Rick Griffin for the best/only poster store in NYC, Psychedelic Solution, on 8th Street near Washington Square Park - "Harbinger of Emotional Geometry Since 1967". Postcard announces 1st catalog printed by the store.
I just LOVE color! You'll always see me as a painted lady with bright red lips and nails and sultry eyes. Most of the time I wear bight colors, although I do dress in earth colors or all black. Here I'm showing off that rainbow colored cocktail dress I just got. I'm a hippie girl who likes bright psychedelic posters from the 1960's and '70's. I like bright Mexican and Native American blankets and have a couple of them.
Why don't you snuggle up next to me and take a trip: www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-LHSkQCo3E ? View on wide screen with all the other lights in the room turned off. Lay with me on my bed with my blacklight turned on, the bright overhead light turned off, and I'll tell you the secrets of the universe.
This is the NE corner of my bedroom. The poster on the left called "Astral Madonna" by Shirley Goddard is my first and dates back to 1968. I bought the other two in this photo in 1970. All four walls of my love nest are covered with posters. This Mexican blanket came from California in the late 70's or early '80's. The computer that connects me to my friends throughtout the world was custom assembled in a local shop rather than an anonymous chain. My dress and jewelry came from a local boutique. As much as practical, I try to buy things from local shops rather than big chains and preferably Made in U.S.A.
Addendum: The middle poster called "Bayou Mirage" by Russell and "Adam and Eve" on the right by Bunnell were fairly common in the 1970's, but I've never seen Goddard's work except in Houston.
This is the place where I view the world, write essays that you see on my Flickr site and posted to various Yahoo Groups, connect with my friends via email, compose love letters, pay bills, make purchases, conduct my busy civic and political affairs, and upload, edit, and transmit photos to Flickr. Yes, that's my girlfriend on the screen.
A framed poster for the Human Be-In gathers faces from the January 1967 event into a dense black-and-white collage. The central standing figure rises through outlined typography while the crowd below dissolves into overlapping bodies and gestures. Seen inside the Doolan–Larson residence at Haight and Ashbury, the artifact carries the neighborhood’s countercultural mythology back into domestic space.
The photograph centers the frame but allows leaf-patterned wallpaper to remain visible on every side, creating a quiet tension between mass gathering and orderly interior decoration. Reflections on the glazing partially veil the image, reminding the viewer that this is an object encountered in a room rather than a transparent historical document. The vertical crop echoes the poster’s hierarchy, from title and solitary figure to compressed crowd, while soft monochrome emphasizes paper, glass, and wall pattern over nostalgia-inducing color. Architectural interpretation works through placement here: the famous public event has become private memory, housed within the corner building that now functions as a repository for Haight–Ashbury history.
I have never shown you the southeast corner of my hippie girl's bedroom before. The psychedelic poster above my shoulder "The Eternal Now" by Shirley Goddard, is one I got at Houston's Electric Paisley back in the summer of 1968 along with another one by her called "Astral Madonna." See: www.flickr.com/photos/13893317@N06/3077905107/in/set-7215... . The lower poster is called "The Americans" by Houston Blacklight & Poster Co., a hippie artist enterprise circa 1971. My back door opens up to my carport where I park my minivan. This is the first apartment where I've had such convenience.

I am sitting on my Elfa storage units I bought from The Container Store and assembled myself. The door leads to my closet where I keep my skimpy clothes, provocative books, and my arsenal: things a girl needs to get into and out of trouble. The psychedelic posters "Lost Horizons" and "Icarus" I got in the early 1970's.
I'm leaning forward trying to look a bit flirty. My girlfriend Leslie Anne is much better with these poses than I am. I took these photos after I made the cooking series on my beef stew. It took quite a few photos to get three that were halfway decent, and even these are not as clear as they should be.
