Crupet is a village of Wallonia and a district of the municipality of Assesse, located in the province of Namur, Belgium.
Until 1977, it was itself a municipality.
It is a member of the organisation Les Plus Beaux Villages de Wallonie (French; in English: Most Beautiful Villages in Wallonia).
The Castle of Crupet, a 13th Century medieval farm-chateau is situated below the village centre, and a little to the north, next to the river.

Matera is a city and a province in the region of Basilicata, in Southern Italy. It is the capital of the province of Matera and the capital of Basilicata from 1663 to 1806. The town lies in a small canyon carved out by the Gravina. Matera has gained international fame for its ancient town, the "Sassi di Matera". The Sassi originated in a prehistoric troglodyte settlement, and these dwellings are thought to be among the first ever human settlements in what is now Italy. The Sassi are habitations dug into the calcareous rock itself, which is characteristic of Basilicata and Apulia. Many of them are really little more than caverns, and in some parts of the Sassi a street lies on top of another group of dwellings. The ancient town grew up on one slope of the rocky ravine created by a river that is now a small stream, and this ravine is known locally as "la Gravina". In the 1950s, the government of Italy used force to relocate most of the population of the Sassi to areas of the developing modern city.
Until the late 1980s the Sassi was considered an area of poverty, since its dwellings were, and in most cases still are, uninhabitable. The present local administration, however, has become more tourism-oriented, and it has promoted the regeneration of the Sassi with the aid of the Italian government, UNESCO, and Hollywood. Today there are many thriving businesses, pubs, and hotels there.

It is the former capital of Khwarezmia and the Khanate of Khiva. Itchan Kala in Khiva was the first site in Uzbekistan to be inscribed in the World Heritage List (1991).

Villafàfila - Province de Zamora - Espagne
Le Parc Naturel des Lagunes de Villafàfila et les zones agricoles qui l'entourent sont réputés pour l'importante concentration d'Outardes.
Mais celles-ci sont hélas assez éloignées des pistes agricoles où l'on a l'autorisation de circuler, les restrictions du Parc Naturel imposant de ne photographier que depuis les véhicules, les affûts et camouflages étant interdits.
De plus dès le matin la transparence de l'air devient rapidement problématique pour les sujets éloignés.
La qualité des prises de vues s'en ressent comme on peut le constater : détails gommés et bokeh trouble par exemple.

The restrictions imposed by the Parc Naturel mean that photographs can only be taken from vehicles, and it is forbidden to use camouflage.
What's more, from morning onwards, the transparency of the air quickly becomes a problem for distant subjects.
As you can see, the quality of the shots suffered as a result : details were erased and bokeh blurred, for example.

The Great Bustard is the largest of the bustards and probably one of Europe's largest flying birds.
The male has red plumage with black stripes and a grey head and neck. Moustache-like feathers adorn both sides of the beak.

Haenertsburg is a village situated on the edge of the Great Escarpment in the Limpopo Province of South Africa, on the R71 road between Polokwane (formerly: Pietersburg) and Tzaneen en route to the Kruger National Park.
The photo was taken handheld on a cloudy, rainy and windy morning with a surprising ( for me ) pleasing result.
In this part of the world seems to stop the time. There aren't stressful signs as in our everyday life. The calm reigns in this fascinating scenery.
It's really relaxing to sail admiring this marvelous place.

At 9PM went for a walk with a friend to explore the area along the river. It was 15F (-9c) and 5.5 hours past sunset – not the best time for shooting, but I only had one night in town so wanted to make the most of it.
This is the Szczecin Province Office built in 1911 that sits upon a small hill and overlooks the river.

According to Venetian official statistics approximately 16 million people visited the province of Venice in 2011, with increases projected for 2012-13. Most if not all visitors, come to visit the central island Venezia in order to see and be in the heart of the city. Geographically the city center which includes St. Mark’s Basilica, St Mark’s Square, the Doge’s Palace, the Rialto Bridge, as well as the homes and businesses of Venetians exists on a land mass that is roughly six square miles. These six square miles are criss-crossed by the Grand and the not-so-grand canals which invite tourists to explore the nooks and crannies of a medieval powerhouse that still displays its heritage.
However, as a frame of reference, visitors should do the math. Public access to the six square miles of the central part of Venice is reduced by the areas occupied by private housing, businesses and by canals. Effectively the 80,000 to 100,000 daily visitors and the 40,000 to 60,000 local residents or business employers and employees are competing for approximately one to two square miles of open space. Regardless of the crowds it should be noted that while tourists may travel stem to stern in seemingly endless lines of gondolas, on Venice’s solid ground no car, bus or motor scooter challenges a visitor’s right to live long and prosper. In Venice the trucks, cars, and buses come with keels and rudders. All vie for space on and in the canals. Gondoliers weave their boats and passengers through the Grand Canal water traffic much like carriage driver guide their clip-clopping horse drawn carriages through any busy city’s tourist center. To paraphrase Shakespeare, in Venice all the water’s a stage,

Dolceacqua is an Italian municipality in the province of Imperia in Liguria.
The Castello dei Doria is located above the town.
The "Ponte Vecchio di Dolceacqua" bridge, built in the 13th century, spans the Nervia River in a single arch of more than 30 meters. In 1884, Claude Monet was inspired by this bridge to create one of his famous paintings.

شهر لار یکی از شهرهای باستانی استان فارس می باشد که متاسفانه در سال 1339 بر اثر زلزله آسیب فراوان دید. اما تعدادی از آثار با ارزش قدیمی این شهر پس از گذشت زلزله خوشبختانه سرپا ماندند که بعدها برخی از آنها بازسازی شدند
لازم به ذکر است که شهر لار بعد از زلزله به دو بخش جدید و قدیم تقسیم شدند که بخش قدیم با مهندسی روز و با شهرسازی مناسب به همراه خانه های مقاوم ساخته شدند ولی دلبستگی مرد و بخصوص کسبه به بازار باعث شد که قسمت قدیم نیز کم کم بازسازی شوند
دو اثر تاریخی دژ اژدها پیکر که یادگاری از دوران ساسانی است و آرامگاه منسوب به مادر نادر شاه که قدمت آن به دوره تیموری و یا اوایل صفویه بر میگردد از جاذبه های تاریخی شهر هستند
به دلیل اهمیت دژ این قلعه تا قرنها بعد از دوران ساسانی، نیز استفاده میشده و امروزه به دلیل زلزله ها و جنگهای مختلف و البته کم توجهی مسئولین میراث فرهنگی شرایط خوبی ندارد. در حالیکه اگر این دژ مرمت شود میتواند به یکی از جاذبه های مهم ایران تبدیل شود .
آرامگاه منسوب به مادر نادرشاه اگر چه مشخص نیست که آرامگاه چه کسی بوده ولی بر اساس باورهای محلی این آرامگاه متعلق به مادر نادرشاه بوده که به شکل عامیانه "ننه نادر شاه" گفته میشود
این آرامگاه بر روی یک سکوی سنگی (لاشه سنگ) ساخته شده و احتمالا در گذشته های دور یکی از چهارطاقی های شهر لار بر روی این سکو وجود داشته ولی بعد ها و با تخریب آن آتشکده این آرامگاه زیبا ساخته شده که از دو قسمت مقبره و نماز خانه ستوندار در زیر آن تشکیل شده است
Beypazarı is a municipality and district of Ankara Province, Türkiye. Its area is 1,697 km2, and its population is 48,357 (2022). The name Beypazarı means The Bey's market in Turkish, as in the Ottoman period this was an important military base and the cavalry stationed here were an important element of the local economy.
Beypazarı today is a small town in a rural district famous for its carrots, (producing nearly 60% of Turkey's carrots), silverwork (Telkari), and a high quality natural mineral water. The crystal mineral trona, a kind of natural soda used in glass-making is extracted in Beypazarı. With its rich history, architectural heritage and attractive rocky countryside Beypazarı is becoming increasingly attractive to visitors, especially day-trippers from Ankara. The cobbled streets of white Ottoman period buildings are particularly attractive; many of the old houses have been restored as hotels and restaurants (and are also popular with Turkish film directors looking for authentic locations. Every June the town holds its popular Traditional Historical Houses, Handicrafts, Carrot and stew Festival. The visitors of course are bringing valuable income to the town, shopping for silverware and providing good custom for the food markets and restaurants.
For many visitors a major attraction is the cuisine, which includes typical Turkish dishes such as the yoghurt drink ayran, cracked wheat (or flour), yoghurt, and vegetables fermented then dried and mixed with water to make a thick soup tarhana, stuffed vine leaves, home-made sausage mumbar, and a stew cooked in a stone-oven called güveç. Sweets include the sweet cream pudding called höşmerim and pastries including a dry buttery biscuit called Beypazarı kurusu, and a renowned 80-layer baklava.
Beypazarı is a member of the European Association of Historic Towns and Regions (EAHTR).
