This amazing tree stands proud and alone under the shadow of the mountains in the Lake District. On its own magnificent but even more beautiful with these surroundings.

Walking back along Glen Muick, two Red Deer stags were munching happily by the side of the track among the heather covered mountainsides. I thought they'd run off, but were totally unconcerned as I set up the tripod and camera, I even had to whistle a them to get their attention!!
