Two Generations of Chamoru women peacefully protesting the building of a firing range on Litekyan, where our endangered species are recovering.
Rather than ruminating over how I feel about certain issues in my life and around the world, I put my time and energy into helping a fellow artist supporting Protehi Litekyan. I'd like to think that our energy put into this cloth mural will help our cause as well as protect GuÄhan.
Just because we are of different color or race, it does not stop us from coming together to protect what is sacred.
I'm going to bring a mat, find a good spot, and pray/meditate on our efforts to PROTEHI Litekyan. I feel that if we have people doing these actions to back the rest who are being vocal, we may have a chance at getting somewhere. If anyone would like to join me, bring a mat and have a seat. I can't stay the whole event, but I will be there and prayer/meditation will be my way of rallying.
