Bergwerk Prosper Haniel
Das Bergwerk Prosper-Haniel in Bottrop ist seit der Schließung der Zeche Auguste Victoria am 18. Dezember 2015 das letzte aktive Steinkohlen-Bergwerk im Ruhrgebiet.[1]
Im Jahre 1974 fasste die Ruhrkohle AG die Zechen Prosper, Jacobi und Franz Haniel zum Verbundbergwerk Prosper-Haniel zusammen. Es gingen ein die Schachtanlagen Prosper I (1/4/5), Prosper II (2/3/8), Prosper III (6/7), Prosper IV (Schacht 9), Arenberg Fortsetzung 1/2, Jacobi 1/2, Franz Haniel 1/2, Möller 5, sowie die Kokerei Prosper. Die Kokerei Jacobi wurde bis 1984 als eigene Werksdirektion betrieben. Das Bergwerk soll Ende 2018 geschlossen werden.
This shot was taken during our first visit to Cornwall in 2021, after the pandemic restrictions were partially relaxed. Pictured on the right is the old engine house for the tin mine known as Wheal Prosper. Despite its name Wheal Prosper was not a hugely succesful mine, working for only six years between 1860-1866. It was intended to mine tin and copper from the Porthcew Lode.
The engine house is dramatically situated on the cliff tops of Rinsey over-looking Rinsey Cove and Porthcew Beach three miles from Porthleven in the south-west of Cornwall. Built of granite and killas slate taken from the local clifftops this engine house was home to a 30-inch pump. There were three shafts the most notable of which is the now capped Michell's Whim shaft measuring an estimated 420 feet in depth. The site has been under the stewardship of the National Trust since 1969.
In the far distance can be seen Penzance with Mousehole on the left.

De 1350 à 1750, des marchands ont dirigé le commerce du poisson et du grain entre les villes de la ligue, à partir de leur bureau de Bergen. Pendant 4 siècles jusqu'en 1754, en tant que comptoir important de l'empire commercial de la Ligue hanséatique, Bergen était donc un centre de commerce prospère qui reliait la Norvège au reste de l'Europe.
Bryggen, son quai hanséatique situé sur la rive nord de la baie de Vågen et du port de Bergen, est le témoin le plus marquant de cette époque. Les anciens entrepôts en bois qui longe la rive nord du port intérieur étaient jadis surnommés "Tyskebriggen" (quai allemand). Depuis 1979, le site est classé au patrimoine de l'UNESCO (WHL-59). Aujourd'hui, de nombreux restaurants, des pubs, des boutiques d'artisanat et des musées historiques se sont installés ces dernières années.
Bergen est entourée de montagnes et fjords, dont le Sognefjord, qui est le plus long et le plus large du pays. Son quartier de Bryggen se distingue par ses maisons en bois colorées sur le vieux quai. Le funiculaire de Fløibanen emmène les visiteurs au sommet du mont Fløyen, avec sa vue panoramique et ses nombreux sentiers de randonnée.
Standing at the top of an old slag heap from the Prosper Haniel coalmine in Bottrop, old sleepers or pitprops from the mine have been set upright and painted by artists to form an imposing artwork along the top ridge overlooking a crater and small amphitheatre.

The colliery "Prosper" in Bottrop. The Briktower, called in german "Malakovturm" was bulid in 1875 in the art of historism, later in 1900 became it a Koepe-Framework. Prosper II concludet in 1982 and serves as a museum. The fusion of bricktower and framework is the last one in Germany/Ruhrgebiet.
Viele Jahre zuvor im Bauzugdienst bei der Efw im Einsatz, gehört die 215 024 nun zum in Bottrop ansässigen Bahndienstleister „NeoLox“. Hier mit einem Schotterzug an der Arcelor-Mittal Kokerei „Prosper“ vor Bottrop Süd.

The 215 024 has been in use for years in the construction train service at Efw, and now belongs to the Bottrop-based rail service provider “NeoLox”. Here with a ballast train at the Arcelor-Mittal coking „Prosper“ plant in Bottrop-Süd.
