Spring is nature's way of saying, 'Let's Party!"
~ Robin Williams
This is the last in my series of four crocus images.
Shot with Pentacon AV and 12mm extension tube.
I have often asked myself weather sunsets have brothers or sisters, and knowing that sunrise is actually Sunset's brother, I, for my entire life searched for it's sisters.
And than it happened the other day. Climbing a small grassy hill in the most beloved part of the world, my Homeland, I came about what I was searching for. Sunset sisters were there talking to the Sun in a way lovers talk to each other.
Now I have to find out about who is it's Mother...b.mikic

LOVE IS LIKE A BUTTERFLY – DOLLY PARTON
SEPTEMBER DANCES
Butterfly kisses tickling my cheek
with gentle soft wings fluttering and meek
whispered words brushing my ears
caressing my skin
warm and golden
sun-kissed and velvety peach texture
such fine downy feelings
dreamy, delightful and meaningful glances
that conjure up September dances
of love and longing
such sweet all-embracing
touching and tracing our finger tips
down profiles so gleaming
in the subtly revealing
after-glow that left us
belonging and longing for more
knowing that this may be all that we have
let us savour the moments,
so precious and glad
to have gifted this time to each other.

Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.

SIMPLE PLEASURES - JAKE BUGG
Softly spoken
gentle, muted colours
small and often overlooked
this little common herb
is delicate and fragile
is often found
and pressed within a book
delightful is it's presence
a surprise found in the grass
blush pink and heart-shaped petals
bring such joy to hand
it seeds itself
and blows on winds
that carry it away
to grow again
wherever it may land
nature is a wondrous thing
it heals; brings happy thoughts
and dreams that take us far away
in woven webs are caught
look upon this humble flower
savour this kind moment
for it is like a starlit shower
of asteroids; do not lament
it's passing by does not last long
but look again and see
appearances are here and there
dotted prettily
in hedgerows low beneath the shadows
of great trees that stand tall
you'll find these miracles of life
even though they are so small
yet they are many
and that is good
to know life is so plentiful
take a minute of your walk
to spend in it's pleasant company
they do not disappoint or have
unreal expectations
they are themselves
they are complete
they have no hesitation
natural beauty may not last
but inside is what counts
that pure light; that heavenly zeal
these flowers have
in bounteous appeal
look once; look twice
and look again
the language of these flowers
whispers soft like rain
and tells to us
all we need to know
let all unfold
let spirits grow
a sense of well-being
an effortless charm
that lights up our lives
and does no harm
enchanting; magical
all this and more
can be yours and mine
forever more.

The wonderful rose without thorns
has long been talked about in poetry and prose;
Since ancient times we have prayed to the gods
Open the way for us to the wonderful rose:
It's in the far side
We imagine it blooming;
On a formidable conceivable height,
Which we protect access to
A crowd of dragons and spirits,
Amidst the horrors of solitude —
There is a rose without thorns.;
It's not a trick of the imagination. —
A charming flower
It's close to us! To a corner of paradise,
Where it smells in silence,
The dragon does not block the paths
His sanctuary preserves:
The Goddess of goodness with a clear eye,
Friendliness Sister Harith —
Have a nice sweet talk,
With a charming face —
And a modest Charity
With that enchanted wand,
Which touch
He tells his eyes to shine through his tears
And to the lips that are compressed with sorrow,
A smile of happiness returns.
There, invisible, blooms
The best creation of the gods —
A holy rose without thorns.
“You pray in your distress and in your need; would that you might also pray in the fullness of your joy and in your days of abundance.”
- Khalil Gibran
Thank you everyone for your wonderful prayers and good wishes. I am not very well at the moment, but will try to stop by at the weekends. God bless xo

FADE INTO YOU – MAZZY STAR
ABUNDANCY
Pure of heart lights the way
shines like sun in the month of May
carries me throughout this day
Abundancy of Love
How I wish I could slip away
to my little island not far away
and linger longer; warm hazy days
Abundancy of Being
I can see you in my dreams
feel your touch and all it seems
is all I need and tranquil streams
Abundancy of Soul
Roses perfumed sweetness flows
cherry blossom falls like snow
seasons come and seasons go
Abundancy of Nature
Silence; tranquil; peace and quiet
nightingales sing throughout the night
twinkling winking stars and moonlight
Abundancy of Heaven
Close my eyes and turn my cheek
love me if I'm who you seek
refresh my spirit when I feel weak
Abundancy of Life
Open my heart and let me sing
beauty is found in everything
be more aware and life will bring
Abundancy of All.

"Everglow"is about the feeling of warmth or happiness that comes with the sadness you feel when you think about a relationship, situation, or friendship that has now ended or will do someday, but I truly believe that the seeds of love, hope and peace we plant in this world will follow us into the next and the end is not the end, but the beginning of something new; something beautiful and when we look back, we will see that what we have sown we will reap … “ - excerpt from a short story, “Goodbye to H” - AP

EVERGLOW - COLDPLAY
The closer we look the more we find
each precious drop; a diamond from Heaven
each tiny thorn; a poignant reminder
that all have a purpose in this world of ours
sitting in my enchanted garden
a snail coiled beautifully next to me
his iridescent glowing colours
a reminder of life's constancy
overhead the wind blows softly
the pink quince flowers on the bowers
softly blushing against the blue
clear skies always a kind reminder
that Heaven is near and all around you
each step we take a subtleness settles
on gentle shoulders filled with love
your countenance like the beautiful flowers
you photograph; bring peace like a morning dove
no need to thank me for my words
it is I who should be thanking you
and I do my friend with all my heart
for it is your words that brought me back and through
you see the darkness had descended on me
a betrayal by a very close friend
and I could only find words of sadness
but you changed all that; with the words you sent
so here I am in my Heavenly garden
writing these words that you deserve
and praying for you and your dear beloved
mother who brought an angel here to earth
each day is a miracle; each moment a blessing
and no-one knows how our stories end
but while we are here, we should be kind and loving
just like you my sweet, caring friend
I suffered betrayal at the hands of another
but I won't lose hope; I keep open my heart
for an end is not the end of our story
we go on; we live; we love; we start
right back at the beginning
when innocence was bliss
like the first Spring flower on a misty morning
and the sweetness of our very first kiss
our journey in this life may draw to a close
but the suffering we learned from
like the very first rose
we overcame and we blossomed
we gave it our all
and this day hope resurfaced
and we didn't fall.

I'm a sucker for wildflowers; more so when they're truly wild in a field. I love them, they brighten any spot, even the side of a road that's riddled with potholes.
And so, this morning when I was walking back from an appointment and spotted this field of wild growth I had to pull the camera out and see what I could capture.
No field is ever the same. If I were to go back tomorrow, it would be different and I think that's what I love about places like this.
Variety, it's the spice of life!
Hope everyone has had a good day.

Pink Shafts Of Light Hungry To Touch Beauty Of Teal Penetrate Rich Gold Cloud Layers Across Tampa Bay Florida Horizon At Apollo Beach Home - IMRAN™
(My 95th photo in Flickr Explore!)
It was one of the usual lovely Florida sunsets over Tampa Bay, which I missed while out for a walk with the dogs. I was talking to two beautiful neighbors at the beach park as we saw the sunset. But on my return home I could not help but be enamored by the scene unfolding outside. The sharp light beams of soft pink seemed to penetrate their way through sold gold layers across the horizon past Tampa Bay. The golden yellow colors gave way to deeper orange red tones to the edges of the view. The Teal blue swimming pool against the multi-shaded blue sky framed those colors above and below. The waterfall created white puddles of bubbling water in the otherwise calm pool water, behind which Tampa Bay itself appeared calm like a pool. This is a quick panorama stitched from two Nikon D850 handheld photos at my blessed home in Apollo Beach.

It's a Kaleidoscope of Colors Across a Mountainside
The Aspens have turned yellow with Autumn's arrival
The Evergreens remain true to their colors with their greens up a mountainside
The Mountains have strips of many colors layered over ages of time
The Moon hangs above all with its pale white
And the skies are blue complementing all for this Utah setting.
Another work of short poetry or prose to complement the image captured with the vibrance of colors across this portion of Mount Timpanogos with the rugged peaks and ridgelines. In composing this image, I wanted to balance the sweeping view looking across the nearby hillsides going up the mountain with the colors of trees and the blue skies with the moon above. In my mind, I didn't want to just in have the top of the image be near the peak off in the distance, I wanted to include some negative space with the blue skies to kind of add that compliment to the colors of the leaves tree leaves and mountainside.
Most Stand in Awe When They See the Canyon for the First Time
Though how they heard about it might vary
For me, it was a simple comic strip; Ripley's Believe It or Not
Some parts of the Black Canyon might only see a few minutes of sunlight as a day goes by
Volcanoes erupted and later a river flowed to create a canyon
So I’ll stand in wonder and read about a mystery of geology over the ages of time
Carved and present in the layers of rock formed over a billion years ago
Gneiss and schist and sheer canyon walls
It might not be “grand,“ but it is black, and it is of the Gunnison.
Another work of short poetry or prose to complement the image captured one afternoon in Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park while exploring sights at the Tomichi Point. The view is looking to the southeast, across and slightly downward to capture a more sweeping look across this canyon and gorge. Sheer cliff-walls on each side could only lead the viewer of an image into the immense landscape present in this national park setting.
I did some initial post-processing work making adjustments to contrast, brightness and saturation while playing around as I learned how to work with DxO PhotoLab 3. I then exported a TIFF image to Nik Color Efex Pro 4 where I added a Polarization and Pro Contrast filter for that last effect on the image captured.

Pain or something like it, all the memories just as well forgotten...nothing matters because it's the time of year when the sun's down before we're fully awake, when the full moon hardly shows from behind the stars and the only thoughts worth having are thoughts that come just before sleep, making the pillow their grave and inviting dreams instead. We collect these dreams like dying stalks of wildflowers, brittle, lost, then gone forever.
