Point Cabrillo, the sandstone headland on which the Point Cabrillo Light lies, was named in 1870 by the United States Geological Survey after the Portuguese explorer João Rodrigues Cabrilho.

Point Cabrillo Lighthouse is in northern California, just south of the community of Caspar. The lighthouse was constructed by the Lindgren Company beginning in 1908, and began operation in 1909. Its first light keeper was Wilhelm Baumgartner, who held the position until 1923. In 1935, an air diaphone supertyfone sound signal was installed.
The light is only 9.8 m (32 ft) above the ground, but because of the height of the headlands it stands 25 m (81 ft) above sea level. It was originally lit by a kerosene lamp and turned by a clockwork mechanism but this was replaced by an electric light and motor in 1935. The present light uses a single 1000-watt electric filament, the light from which is magnified by a factor of one thousand by the lens, and spins once every 40 seconds producing a flash every 10 seconds.
The restored lighthouse was opened to the public in August 2001, and used in filming the Warner Bros 2001 drama film The Majestic.

The Vennerbrunnen (Banner Carrier or Vexillum Fountain) is located in front of the old city hall or Rathaus. The Venner was military-political title in medieval Switzerland. He was responsible for peace and protection in a section of a city and then to lead troops from that section in battle. In Bern the Venner was a very powerful position and was key in city's operations. Each Venner was connected to a guild and chosen from the guild. Venner was one of only two positions from which the Schultheiß or Lord Mayor was chosen. The statue, built in 1542 shows a Venner in full armor with his banner.

The Church of the Beatitudes is a Roman Catholic church located near Tabgha and Capernaum.
Located on a small hill overlooking the Sea of Galilee, and built on the traditional site where Jesus delivered the the Sermon on the Mount, pilgrims are known to have commemorated this site since at least the 4th century.
The modern church was built between 1936 and 1938 near the site of the fourth-century Byzantine ruins.

Johann Strauss II became one of the most popular waltz composers of his time.
Some of Johann Strauss's most famous works include - The Blue Danube, Kaiser-Walzer, Tales from the Vienna Woods, and the Tritsch-Tratsch-Polka. Among his operettas, Die Fledermaus and Der Zigeunerbaron are the best known.
Strauss was diagnosed with pleural pneumonia in 1899, and died in Vienna, at the age of 73. He was buried in the Zentralfriedhof.
Strauss's music is now regularly performed at the annual Neujahrskonzert of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.

Built in the late 19th century, this cathedral is a scale replica of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. Under its dome is a copy of Bernini's baldachin (a canopy of state typically placed over an altar or throne). There are many paintings illustrating scenes from Montréal's history and the mortuary chapel is the final resting place of the city's bishops.

This 42 year-old Mack is owned by and was restored by Mack Trucks NZ.
