I see it as a little gimmick. The complete picture was created and edited with the iPhone.

The Casemates building is situated within the embankment of the central mound at Fort McNab, low, one-storey, concrete structure composed of seven vaulted bays. Four of the bays retain the original arrangement of a central door with a transom, flanking windows, and a round-headed, recessed concrete panel.

Fort McNab began in 1888 and was completed in 1892. The armament included one 10 inch breech loader (BL) and two 6 inch BL's. The effectiveness of the new guns was increased by the installation of an elaborate fire control system.
More powerful guns on central pivot mountings were introduced by 1906. The included one 9.2 inch BL and two 6 inch BL's.
As the situation in Europe deteriorated, plans were developed to defend Halifax against enemy action. Searchlight emplacements were constructed in 1914. A 6 pound QF gun was mounted on the parapet of the fort. All this activity came to an end with the signing of the Armistice. The battery remained manned until January of 1919 when the fort was officially closed down.
The old 9.2 inch barrel was replaced in 1921 but nothing else was done. In 1932 Fort McNab was put in moth-balls.
With the deteriorating political situation in Europe. In 1937 its 6 inch battery was retained for "close defence" and examination purposes. New electric lights were to be provided for the fort. By September of 1939 it was ready, to assume its role in the protection of Halifax.
Many changes occurred at Fort McNab during World War II. A new Battery Command Post was constructed in 1940-41. The guns were charged at various times but the final major improvement to the fort was the construction of a radar post in 1945.
When the war ended Fort McNab was entirely dismantled and placed in "heavy maintenance." By 1948 it was reactivated. The final armament change occurred in 1953 when a 4 inch twin naval gun replaced No. 2 - 6 inch gun. The fort operated until January of 1960 when its was dismantled and closed for the last time.

The bathhouse included a square hall (20 x 20 meters) that served as the frigidarium (cold room). The room's wall and floor were covered with marble slabs. In one of its walls was a fountain and in the other walls were niches for statues. Fragments of statues were found in a pit below the bathhouse; they are a life-sized young Dionysus, a nude Aphrodite, an emperor wearing armor and an Athena.
The main part of the bathhouse contained rooms and halls, including a caldarium heated by a hypocaust. A large latrine, with a colonnaded courtyard, had rows of evenly spaced stone toilet seats along its walls, and drainage channels beneath them.

n July of 2002, the 1833 lighthouse in St.Andrews, was moved about 50 feet off its deteriorated foundation, for future restoration. Also known as Pendlebury Light, St. Andrews Light is the oldest lighthouse on New Brunswick’s mainland, and one of only nine remaining octagonal wooden lighthouses in the province.
The Pendlebury Lighthouse was restored by the St. Andrews Civic Trust, one the few lighthouses left in this area.

The park section is managed by the City of Toronto and, includes a series of three ponds, a large meadow and a small forest. Initially, the area adjacent to the ponds was planted with species native to Ontario.
Once the wetlands became established, many species of birds have visited to forage or breed. Mammals, reptiles (including Blanding's turtle and snapping turtle), amphibians, and some fish have also found their way to the ponds. There are ducks, Canada Geese, toads, muskrats, sparrows, and others.
The Brick Works wetland is connected to a number of other nature reserve areas via forest trail, and is part of a larger effort to reestablish the Don Valley watershed.

Here the ammunition needed for the Upper and Lower Batteries was stored in a protective network of underground tunnels.
This facility consisted of a central magazine for gunpowder storage, surrounded by a system for delivering cartridges and shells to the Upper Battery.
Most of my favorite promotional cameras. Most are 35mm but some are 110, one is Polaroid and one is digital.
