Now that I know that you can take photos inside the Birmingham Musuem & Art Gallery, thought I'd go along and take what I wanted (not the paintings).
This is in the part of the museum near Great Charles Street Queensway.
On Friday it opened at 10:30am and I got here just in time before the crowds showed up.

This is a beach Cafe/bar on the sand at Tel Aviv's beach. Notice the chairs are directly on the sand, and if it was daylight, you would be able to see the sea right behind the big projection screen TV. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me, so this crappy picture is actually pretty good for a pic that came from a Camera Phone!

DesignColumbus is the annual sustainable building conference and trade show expo which unites hundreds of industry professionals
architects, designers, engineers, owners, developers, government officials, municipal planners, facility managers, contractors, construction managers, construction specifiers, manufacturers, product representatives.
It was held this year for the first time at the LEED Certified Mitchell Hall on the campus of Columbus State Community College. Mitchell Hall is the New Home of the Columbus State's Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts Program. DesignGroup a Columbus/Pittsburgh firm was the building architect.
The same day as our event, Mike DeWine, Governor of the State of Ohio declared a state of emergency for the entire state and began shutting things down due to COVID-19. Columbus State took precautions with lots of hand sanitizing stations located throughout the building.

It was shown as part of Ecoburbia's summer movie program. Tim and Shani set up a projection system at the end of the Hulbert Street cul-de-sac and everyone brings things to sit on and pizza toppings if they want to make pizzas in the wood-fired pizza oven.

This was an independent film screening featuring the Engine (a.k.a The Engine Theater). The screen that everyone is watching the film on is actually a portable projection system, featuring a 1000 pound light and steel art sculpture that kinetically supports a 17 foot screen. It's actually really cool and can be rented for private events and movie screenings.

This is my new home made projection screen.It is 2 coats of Behr "Silver Screen" paint.I think it works as good or better than a low end store bought screen.
Aunt Margaret provided running commentary for Uncle Alfred’s silent super 8 film presentation of their European vacation. She was particularly impressed with an outdoor art market in London. She was serious and pleased at the same time to state, “There were blocks and blocks of paintings on display as far as you could see, and you know kid, there wasn’t an abstract in the bunch.” My brother and I fondly remember that scene over 30 years later. Why exactly, I don’t know. It was funny, charming, honest, pointed, and all of the above
