My son's third grade class made felted wool blankets as their first Project Based Learning project this year. There are six blankets in all, each made by a team of three students. They will be donated to homeless children at a shelter in the nearest big city. I sewed them together and backed them with flannel sheets.

Students visiting southwestern Pennsylvania manufacturing companies as a part of the 2013-14 Adventures in Technology program created by Catalyst Connection. The STEM program pairs classes of students to work on "real-world" projects in the classroom over a 10-week period of time.
