chipKIT WF32: WiFi Enabled Microntroller Board with Uno R3 Headers
The chipKIT™ WF32 is a prototyping platform that adds the performance of the Microchip® PIC32 microcontroller. The WF32 is the first board from Digilent to have a WiFi MRF24 and SD card on the board both with dedicated signals. The WF32 board takes advantage of the powerful PIC32MX695F512L microcontroller, which features a 32-bit MIPS processor core running at 80 MHz, 512K of flash program memory, and 128K of SRAM data memory. The WF32 can be programmed using the Multi-Platform Integrated Development Environment (MPIDE). It contains everything needed to start developing embedded applications. The WF32 features a USB serial port interface for connection to the MPIDE and can be powered via USB or by an external power supply. In addition, the WF32 is fully compatible with the advanced Microchip MPLAB® IDE and works with all MPLAB compatible in-system programmer/debuggers, such as the Microchip PICkit™3 or the Digilent chipKIT PGM.

chipKIT PGM Programmer/Debugger for use with Digilent chipKIT Platforms
The chipKIT PGM is designed to work with the MPLAB® and MPLAB X development environments available from Microchip. This allows the chipKIT boards, for example, to be used as a more traditional microcontroller development platform using the professional tools available from Microchip. While the PICkit™3 programmer can generate programming voltages needed to program all Microchip PIC devices, the chipKIT PGM can only program devices that are programmable with 3.3V programming voltage. Further, the PICkit3 can source a small amount of current to provide power to some boards being programmed. The chipKIT PGM does not provide power to the board being programmed.

Awesome, talented people I had the privilege of spending summer 2013 with at Hacker School. Never graduate!
Programmers at the January 2014 Code for DC Civic Hacknight. OpenGov Hub, 1889 F St NW, Washington, DC.
In 1953, Shell Labs in Amsterdam was the first site in the Netherlands to use an electronic computer in a production environment. The computer was a Ferranti Mark I*, designed at Manchester University (with help from the legendary Alan Turing) and built by British company Ferranti. The Amsterdam model was called MIRACLE, for "Mokums (Amsterdam's) Industrial Research Automatic Calculator for Laboratory and Engineering", but some people nicknamed it "May It Replace All Chaotic Laboratory Experiments". My mother was one of its programmers and kept a photo album.
These programmers convert the code written on paper sheets into tape. The tape could then be read by the computer, to have the program loaded into memory.

Sept. 12 - Programmers' Day is an international professional holiday, recognized in many technology companies and programming firms that are celebrated on the 256th day of each year.
The number 256 was chosen because it is the number of distinct values that can be represented with an eight-bit byte, a value well-known to programmers. 256 is the highest power of two that is less than 365, the number of days in a common year. (This obvious is an inner joke)
How is Programmer Day celebrated?
Speak in code (or pseudo code) all day
Decorate a tree with zeros and ones to make a binary tree
Make Happy Programmer Day cards using ASCII art
Have a contest for the best binary pun / programming joke

Are you smarter than Google?
It’s not every programmer or developer who can speak the subtle tongues of SEO, but a specialist who can recommend optimizations—whether they are changes to site structure, content buzzwords, or URL rewrites—can be the difference between a successful web presence and…a stunning testament to programming knowledge that NOBODY knows about.
Konnessi is a web development company, and we need an Optimizer. This is sort of like being a Terminator, only you don’t have to speak with an Austrian accent. You do have to be a bit of a polymath when it comes to search engines though, since our end goal is to increase the organic search result rankings of our clients’ websites as well as making the most of their SEM spending. On a given day, you’ll be asked to do A/B testing of techniques, continuously research strategies and fine-tune our approach, and otherwise serve as our resident expert. Using analytics tools, you’ll be expected to develop strategies based on quantitative and qualitative search engine data.
If the preceding sounds exciting, rather than daunting, please check out the qualifications listed below and, if you can lay claim to these “wicked SEO skillz,” send a resume to the link associated with this post.
- 3+ years working as a SEO Manager, SEO specialist, or similar role in which you were responsible for the organic SEO of your site.
- In depth understanding of the search engine ranking algorithm.
- Specific knowledge on how to achieve top placement in Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc.
- Client relationship skills (consultation calls and monthly reporting)
- TITLE & META tagging, copy editing/development and link building. Ability to read & edit HTML, experience with PPC and website analytics
It’s not a position for the faint of heart, but we can promise you that your experience at Konnessi will include the following:
a.)Caffeine
b.)An unparalleled opportunity to join a rapidly growing web development company
c.)A crème-de-la-crème team working to make the most of your search engine savvy.

After tons of troubleshooting, I decided to swap out some IC's. Got em in the mail and put em in. Fired right up! Yesss!
For the past 8 years I have worked in the same office in Cumbernauld. This week is my last week before I move to a new office in Eurocentral. I've taken this shot to remind me of my old place of work before it is no more. :)

This is Dave Fumberger, also known as Fummy. He works at Multi Service Australia and is from Mildure like so many of my friends.
As many young Melburnians Dave doesn't always like the weather in Melbourne but thinks it's a well balanced city with lots of things to do and also not too expensive.
Shot this for my project that I think i'm going to call "YOUNG MELBURNIANS", it has a good ring too it.
I've got about 4 portaits lefts for this project of mine.

Blogged in The Woodwork: Pragmatic Bullshit.
The four years I spent learning Latin would have been better served reading the Bard. I feel the same way with most of the programming languages I have learned. Oh “How pragmatically they’ve programmed, to preach pithy prose over plain programming!”
To the last, un struck words, I have only this “pithy prose” to add: “If premature optimization is the root of all evil, then stupid abstraction is the bark that protects it.”
Made with ComicLife from this image.
With the end of the project approaching I have been trying to come up with photos based on the day. The 19th was Ada Lovelace day celebrating the first programmer and trying to encourage more women into Science careers. I struggled a bit with this, but think this photo has something of a link.
