My name's Inigo Barrera, writing from Barcelona. After a short period
working in business applications, I moved to Sony R&D, where I worked
for 10 years developing embedded software for flat TV's. Last year I
moved to Gigle Semiconductor, a start-up where I develop firmware for
high-speed communication chips. The picture was taken inside Barcelona
metro, where I usually read Dr. Dobb's during the long way to work and back home (yes, software is my hobby too!)

参赛作者感言
1.What is your most impression about this Art event?
你对这次大赛最大的感想是什么?
It is a great opportunity for me to show my feeling about China.
2.What do you want to express in your artworks?
你在作品中想要表达什么?
In this artwork I want to show my sympathy to the people in China through my camera.
China changes very fast and many people from the countryside come into the cities, but sometimes they don’t know what would happen to them, like this girl in this image, she was looking at the modern city’ media image and thinking for a while. To me, as a photographer, at this moment the best what I wanted to do was to try to understand her with my camera.
By the way here in my work a visual communication way is used, that she looked at the big eye which is watching me and so I look at her back, so we three became a communication circle.
3.If you are the winner of the Award, what would you like to say?

I came from Beijing and now I live in San Francisco. I love both China and US. I like my everyday life and I started to learn the photography from the beginning last year. I know I could not stop it any more and I wish I could master more skills in order to understand more and communicate with the rest of the world through my camera.
