Hammer milling. As native seed comes in from the field, it is processed in order to produce clean seed ready for spreading on restored areas. Hammer milling is the first step in the cleaning process, releasing seed from capsules and breaking apart seed clusters. Processing, storage and management of the native seed harvest is done at the Dane County Seed Shed attached to the William G. Lunney Lake Farm County Park, part of the Capital Springs Recreation Area.

crossprocessed with expired (feb 2012) boots slide film 200 using my trusty olympus xa2

Strobist: One Prolinca 250 through 65x65 cm softbox camera left and one Prolinca 250 with a paper snoot from camera right high and a bit behind. Image x-processed in PS. Strobes triggered by Tristar 4 channel radio trigger.

I'm working on a painting today. First step is transferring the printed out line drawing to watercolor paper. I use some ghetto carbon paper I made, taped to the back of the drawing.

phew! processed foods are gross!

 

still working on it- starting to go in now with actual text- what is on it now will be changed, but for most part planning on leaving timeline text at bottom, except info about obesity and disease which I haven't got to yet (as far as placement). This is the inside so outside of pamphlet will have actual timeline title.

a teaser for a project I'm currently working on, which is to candidly shoot artists in a peripheral (no faces) manner, as they create.

 

should my updates become somewhat syncopated and begin to lag, I apologize. this is one of 4 projects I'm assembling / working on.
