Thank you, thank you, thank you to all the artists who sculpted all these beautiful and amazing dolls! I love this hobby so much, it is expensive but makes it all the worthwhile owning a legit doll! Saving up is part of the journey! 😍💖✨
Today, 16th November is "I support BJD Artist Day!"
Please show your support with a message of encouragement for all the BJD artists out there! :)
November 16, 2014.
I am not an aggressive anti-recast hobbyist. I will not hate on anyone that owns one (I have friends who are okay/own recasts). However, I do not support recasts in any way. I support the artists that beautifully sculpt these dolls, they put so much time & effort into their artwork only to get it stolen away and sold for so much cheaper.
And with that, I will finally openly say that I am anti-recast.
I had a system update in my phone and it brought new photo editing tools with it.
Here's May posing for portrait
Respect the artist. Don't buy recast!

My submission showing my support to BJD artists once again this year!
Weather looked beautiful from window, but damn that wind was freezing! So here's quick snap from our sunday walk.
I would have liked a better photo, and possibly with different companies, but these guys were easily gotten to (lol) and all the same height.
Unfortunately they look like they're fighting over the sign :P
Still, it's about supporting artists! Not pretty photos. Right??
We may not always agree on things, but one thing we can agree on is not liking fakes. Even when times were hard and money tight, our caregiver never brought home anyone who was not as legit as the rest of us. Save! Use Layaway! Sometimes miss a sales period and have to save even a bit more to bring someone special home. Just do it the right way so you can be proud of not having to steal from others. Peace!
Other people have already stated far more eloquently than I could the many arguments against supporting the recast trade. I will just say this: If you really do love these dolls and this hobby, please invest your hard-earned money into the growth of our talented, hardworking artists and not into undiscriminating thieves and their inferior knockoffs. I am anti-recast because I love and support the artists that pour everything into these beautiful dolls, without them this hobby wouldn’t exist.
I've never really commented before about where is stand on the matter, but I think that when you have an authentic doll there is a different feeling, just like when you have any authentic piece of art or item. Not only am I owning something I can love, But I'm Supporting someone who loves to make them.
