A view of an old and worn building located on 2nd St. in Henry's business district. Completed in 1895, it still has a certain appeal and would be great to see restored. A print shop once operated at this location.
Henry is a city in Marshall County, Illinois. The population of Henry was 2,320 at the 2020 census. The city is considered part of the Peoria Metropolitan Statistical Area. Its slogan, "Best Town in Illinois by a Dam Site," is derived from the city's distinction of having the first lock and dam built on the Illinois River.

Vanuatu consists of 83 islands and has much to offer; active volcanoes, tropical beaches, dense rainforests, a very rich culture and amazingly friendly people. Of the several islands I visited, the island of Tanna has undoubtedly made the biggest impression on me. The whole island is covered with black volcanic ash deposited by Mount Yasur, an active volcano that has been erupting almost continuously for more than 800 years.
My accommodation on the island consists of a treehouse not far from Mount Yasur. The treehouse is hidden in thick forest, just high enough to be able to see the volcano through the foliage. I can hear its rumbling all day, and from my bed at night, I can see it shooting red burning lava high into the air.
The view on the other hand is almost equally impressive. Several times there appears a rainbow above the with rainforest covered hills. Together with the dull rumbling of the volcano, the swallows flying around, the deep black soil covered with large tree ferns and the chickens scratching around the forest floor this makes for a special, almost prehistoric feel.

A printer shop in Bicester, Oxfordshire.
Slow shutter image in black and white, taken with a Nikon D7000 and a Nikkor AFS DX 18-200mm F/3.5-5.6G lens, and processed in GIMP and Photoscape.
Weather report was unspectacular and cloudless, but it was because of the fog that appeared between the mountain range and the single building.
As I always say, when you're there, just go outside when it's not raining .. 😉
here is a Youtube Video of this Trip! ;-)

this photo is part of 3-batch-photo upload.
(sorry for the metadata being exluded from the photo. It happened probably when I just rotated photo in ImageGlass and saved. It probably overwritten all the metadata for some reason)
this exact photo was the choice of my printshop helper to chose to print on a majestic epson photo paper (as a test) as she have found this photo somewhat beautiful.
I find it nice too, as she pointed it like that.
Moreover, this is my FIRST film ever, so I think this very fact deserves a like.
It's included in a proper album, so I have more of them yet to come, so stay tuned, and give a follow also.
