This roundtable, held at the United Nations Conference Center in Bangkok, brought together regional leaders and experts to discuss evidence-based strategies and best practices for preventing and responding to violence against women and girls in Asia and the Pacific. Organized as part of the Beijing+30 Review, the event featured insights on addressing the drivers of violence, successful interventions, and lessons learned from recent crises, including the COVID-19 pandemic.

Young people are increasingly at risk of being targeted by scammers. Thai university students, migrants, civil society, government, law enforcement and private sector representatives gathered in Bangkok to raise awareness and prevent human trafficking and other abuses facilitated by digital technology.
The main idea behind the forum was to engage Southeast Asia’s youth in raising visibility about the risk of human trafficking and online scams. The initiative was organized by UNODC under the PROTECT project funded by the European Union and supported by the International Labour Organization (ILO), UN Women, and UNICEF.

Cuidados preventivos na atividade de operador de telemarketing
O trabalhador da área de tele atendimento está presente, praticamente, em todos os segmentos do nosso sistema econômico-financeiro. O profissional atua como um canal de comunicação entre o usuário e o prestador de serviço e sua função é exercida preponderantemente ao telefone e ao computador. Essa configuração aliada à organização estrutural e funcional do trabalha faz com que o colaborador esteja exposto à LER/DORT, disfonias ocupacionais, transtornos mentais e PAIR (Perda Auditiva Induzida pelo Ruído), além de fadiga relacionada aos movimentos musculares, ao esforço postural, visual e da alta estimulação da atividade mental e emocional. Fique atento e previna-se:
• Use uma cadeira verdadeiramente ergonômica, de maneira que a região lombar fique bem apoiada no encosto ou espaldar da cadeira.
• Mantenha os pés inteiramente apoiados sobre o piso. Use um descansa-pés de preferência móvel, leve, facilmente posicionado e que não escorregue no piso, a fim de dar o devido suporte da sua região lombar no encosto da cadeira. Conheça alguns tipos de apoio para os pés:
• Os cotovelos devem situar-se em um ângulo reto confortável, com os antebraços em posição paralela em relação ao solo.
• Evite reflexos no monitor se for de vidro com iluminação indireta ou um filtro profissional antirreflexo. Os de LCD com tela sem vidro ou com vidro antirreflexo (a maioria) não precisam.
• A parte superior da tela do seu monitor deverá estar ao nível dos olhos e a uma distância equivalente ao comprimento do braço estendido.
• Os punhos devem estar descontraídos e confortáveis, sem flexionamento perceptível.
• Posicione o teclado no mesmo nível dos cotovelos. Use um descanso para o punho no teclado de no mínimo 8,5 cm de largura. Use um mouse pad com descanso para o punho principalmente se V. trabalha com CAD.
• Se desejar experimente um “arm rest” de 4 barras.
• Conheça e admita a limitação de seu corpo, mude de posição com freqüência e faça intervalos periódicos (a cada 55 minutos) para caminhar ou “esticar o corpo”. Conheça a GINÁSTICA DO GATO, simples movimentos de alongamento que ajudarão significativamente sua postura.
