Illuminated by the early morning sunrise....this Snowy Egret was frisky & ready for what the day would bring.
The rookery at Jefferson Island was in full-swing breeding season & he began strutting his "stuff" very early.
They are so comical to watch.
It's almost that time again.

Maryland's second highest free-falling waterfall is located on the Falling Branch of Deer Creek in northern Harford County. The Falling Branch Area was added to Rocks State Park in 1993 and open to the public.
Falling Branch passes through a steep gorge known as Kilgore Rocks, where the falls have developed in relatively erosion-resistant Prettyboy Schist. This formation was previously known as the upper pelitic schist of the Wissahickon formation. The falls are variously named by local residents Falling Creek Falls, Falling Branch Falls and Kilgore Falls.

My first outing with the new DJI Air 2S! I went to my old stand-by, Prettyboy Reservoir, where there was an unusual number of people. I think I spent half my time there taking photos and half showing people the view with my controller.

Not much seasonal color left in northern Maryland. It looked like autumn on one side of this bridge and winter everywhere else. So no epic, drone-based panoramas this time. :(
