The knob of an old saucepan lid that is in my shed.Why? I have no idea, the saucepan wore out years ago!

El tren "Prestige" se adentra en la olvidada línea Cáceres - Valencia de Alcántara en su recorrido de hoy entre Mérida y Arroyo-Malpartida. En la imagen la 319.323 y 319.304 encabezan la variopinta composición de coches de época recorriendo esta bonita línea, en la que nunca pensé que fotografiaría un tren así.

Con las estribaciones de Sierra Morena y Cabeza del Buey como telón de fondo, el tren Prestige realiza una parada en la primera estación extremeña de su itinerario entre Puertollano, Almorchón y Mérida, dentro de los viajes programados con motivo del 150 aniversario del ferrocarril Ciudad Real - Badajoz. Las 319.304 y 319.323 fueron las encargadas de traccionar el Prestige, poniendo la guinda a la composición formada por un 5000, 4 R12s y un coche salón ZZ. En esta etapa de los diferentes viajes en los que el Prestige surcó Extremadura, recorrió buena parte de la línea 520, que conserva en muchos tramos el encanto de la traviesa de madera, la señalización mecánica o el bloqueo telefónico, recorridos habitualmente por carboneros, trenes de amoniaco, y de forma más esporádica, bobineros o militares, además de los regionales que conectan a Badajoz con Puertollano y Alcázar.

I had a great viewpoint to see Highland Prestige arrive into Aberdeen Harbour. It is only when you are at sea level you realise how big these vessels are. There was a great big cloud but it did not rain.
