Here's a photo edited using a combination of my Lightroom Presets and Photoshop Actions. I think I may have gone overboard post processing this one but here's a quick run down of how it was made.

I imported this photo into Lightroom and applied the Cherry Sunset Sensation preset . This changed up the orangey tones of the sunset to more of a cherry red color and made adjustments to the lighting of the photo. I also manually reduced the clarity to give this photo a softer feel and used split toning to add a slight bluish cast to the shadows.

I then brought the photo into Photoshop and selectively 'dodge and burned' (lighten + darkened) areas of the photo. Many people will do this manually however with landscape photos it may be difficult darkening tree branches, jagged rocks etc. As such I used a technique called 'luminosity masking' (supported in my Photoshop Actions) to automatically select out the darker and lighter parts of the photo so that I could just paint over the mask with my desired light/dark brush affecting only these areas.

And that's it! I know it may sound super confusing or overwhelming but in my future photos I promise I'll go more into these techniques and you'll get the hang of it in no time! :)

As always this photo is free for you to download and play around with as per its CC licence.

Thanks everyone for your support!

I took this along Wading Bird Way at Circle B Bar Reserve a couple years ago. I used one of the presets in Lightroom to add the Fall color pallet. I like the way the flowers in the background seem to glow in the evening light.

Thank you for all your comments and support and the group invites!

Happy Slider Sunday and have a blessed day friends!
