My dad took us to Cirque Du Soleil on my birthday this year. Seeing the smiles and amazed faces of my children; Spending quality time with my parents; Attending an entertaining event. These memories will last longer than any item I could have received.
This holiday season I'll be trying to give experiences instead of presents. As a bonus, this means very little time squished into shopping malls.

Sam - "What experience are you going to give me?"
Me - "The privilege of cleaning the upstairs bathroom."
Sam - "I think I'll re-gift that one."
So I got impatient and went to visit Santa way too early to make sure I get what I wish for Christmas ^^

Wrapping the gifts is usually, for me, a very boring activity. But this Christmas I am enjoying it a lot.
Amanda has been a long time customer turned friend. She's an art teacher, and likes to make us things while she's bored at work and we LOVE it!! This is our most recent package from her!!

Holi is a time when humans and nature shake off the gloom of winter and rejoice in the colors of spring. The holiday is primarily observed in India, Nepal, and countries with large Hindu populations such as Suriname, Guyana, Fiji, Mauritius and Trinidad. In West Bengal of India and Bangladesh, it is known as Dolyatra (Doljatra) or Boshonto Utsav. The annual festival is celebrated on the day of the full moon in the Hindu month of Phalguna. That month is March in the anglo calendar. In 2009 Holi was celebrated on March 11. In 2010 it will be celebrated February 28. I’m getting some of my Holiday presents early this year. My packages tend to be delayed if I order them in mid/late December, so I took precaution this time around.
