The first and inaugural Kilcock Kilomarathon 2012 was held at Kilcock, Co. Kildare, Ireland on Sunday 30th September 2012 at 11:00. The kilomarathon is approximately 26.3 kilometers (a little over 16 miles). The race started and ended in Kilcock GAA club and took a left turn route out to Newtown, then Donadea The Range, Tirmoghan, and returning back via the Clane Road Roundabout to Kilcock GAA. The course was a testing course but good preparation for the Dublin City Marathon. The Kilcock GAA club and Kilcock Athletic Club deserve praise on a very well organised event - good stewarding, an accurately marked route, good after race facilities and refreshments. The race was timed by precision timing.

All of the photographs here on this Flickr set have a visible watermark embedded in them. All of the photographs posted here on this Flickr set are available, free, at no cost, at full resolution WITHOUT watermark. We take these photographs as a hobby and as a contribution to the running community in Ireland. We do not know of any other photographers who operate such a policy. We do not charge for these images. We take these photographs as our contribution to the running community in Ireland. If you feel that they are good enough that you would ordinarily pay for their purchase we would suggest that you can provide a donation to any of the great charities in Ireland who do work for Cancer Care or Cancer Research in Ireland.

Shea Weber of Nashville represents the power, and Duncan Keith of the Blackhawks is the precision. Weber's slap-shot has been clocked well over 100 mph and strikes fear in the hearts of defenders and goalies alike. Duncan Keith relies on a laser like accuracy with his shot from the point. Both D men are active on special teams especially the power play.
