This wooden mankind looking elephant with his enormous feet is one of the weirdest in my collection and one the tallest, about 56cm. It has a African look and I'm not sure if it has a meaning or just made for fun.
It reminds me a preacher, who telling us to seize the day. So lets do that en enjoy ;-))

The itinerant preacher Heimerad worked on this mountain in the last years of his life. After his death in 1019 AD, a chapel was built over his grave in 1021 by order of Archbishop Aribo of Mainz. Many years later, in 1074, Archbishop Siegfried I of Mainz endowed a canonry, which was converted into a Benedictine monastery in 1081. Many years later, the monastery was also burnt down once, but rebuilt. In 1527, the monastery was abolished in the course of the Reformation. That's it.

This early bronze betrays the raw physical and emotional intensity that sets Rodin's work apart from conventional sculpture of his era.The saint's gouged eyes,sunken cheeks and tousled locks conveys the spiritual ferocity with which he announces Christ's coming.A painted plaster version of the bust (which Rodin derived from his over life-sized,full-length figure Saint John the Baptist Preaching of 1878) was first exhibited as an independent work at the Paris Salon of 1879.
Donated to the MET by Samuel P.Avery,a founding trustee,this was the first Rodin sculpture to enter the collection.

I've deliberately gone for a higher contrast presentation to this snap because I feel it's better suited to this type of photography and I'm trying to create a more journalistic approach to my street style snaps.

Guess even priests have bad days. I got inspired by the Diablero TV series which ended way too soon. If you're curious its based on a Mexican comic which mixes myths and legends with a touch of dark fantasy.

Sunrise at Preachers Point at Lake Abraham, there wasnt many large bubbles about and you really had to hunt about for them, this is looking in an easterly direction where the rising sun just started to catch the mountain tops.
Cihtian Temple is also called Mazu Temple. It was originally Hualien Harbor preaching point for Japanese Buddhism. The temple was reconstructed in 1949 and then on the 22nd October 1951 the Hualien earthquake resulted in the collapse of the building so it was once again rebuilt.
It is extremely decorated with colourful characters and dragons.
Experiment in blue and orange.

The Story

McLeod Ganj is located at 1770 m above Sea Level.
The town is located 4 kms by foot( 9 kms by car) above Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. The town is a major tourist hangout and also features many trek shops for the Dhauladhar Range. You will also find friendly Tibetan monks, western food, budget hotels, video movies and congested shops selling Tibetan Souvenirs.

(Romans 10:1-13)
Jesus came to bring spiritual LIFE to the spiritually dead and set the captives FREE! FREE from RELIGION, ERROR and outright LIES, so WE might serve THE LIVING GOD! In SPIRIT and in TRUTH!
So you'll KNOW, and not think you're to bad for God to love. The Christian LIFE isn't about how good WE are, because NONE of us are! It's about how GOOD JESUS IS! Because JESUS LOVES US, so much he died in our place and took the punishment for all of our sins on himself. The wages of sin is DEATH, and Jesus took the death WE so richly deserved for us and died in our place. The good news is, there's no more punishment for sin left. WE, you and I were all born forgive as a result of the crucifixion of God himself on the cross that took away the sins of the whole world. All we have to do is believe it, and put your Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. That my friends is REAL UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! YOU ARE LOVED. ❤️ ✝️ ❤️
