The Worldwide Grandmother Circle
There is a worldwide Grandmother Circle, they believe it is up to the grandmothers to draw the family together, about reaching for a good way of life. We all grow up by mistake and error. There can be no blame, no shame. It's not anybody's fault. There is a long line, and on one side is the negative and one side is the positive. It's good to be on the positive side.
"When a child my mother taught me the legends of our people; taught me of the sun and sky, the moon and stars, the clouds and storms. She also taught me to kneel and pray to the Maker for strength, health, wisdom, and protection. We never prayed against any person, for God cares not for the petty quarrels of men.
People look to them as an Elder and as a Prayer Warrior. They ask the Grandmothers to pray for them and their loved ones, and they do.
So many don't see any good in life. They're always defensive and negative, the Grandmothers work to change that attitude. They ask "Why don't I be the one in my family to break the chain?" Seek help. There is always hope, and there is life after addiction. Healing my family is a slow process, and you need to be in it for the long haul. I never give up hope. My family knows that I pray. They will ask me, "Grandma, pray for me." Prayer comes from the heart. It doesn't have to be big fancy words. Spirituality is the key to changing a lifestyle. Work at making the change." --a Grandma
A photo I took of my favorite painting of my favorite US President who had a birthday on February 22. Painted by Arnold Friberg, R.S.A., in 1975, for info on this incredible artist see: business.intuit.com/directory/article-the-prayer-at-valle... . I just wanted to take time to honor his memory & his birthday with this post. During the Revolutionary War Washington rode two horses at least though there may have been others. His favorite mount, especially in time of action, was Nelson, a sorrel. The other horse was named Blue Skin. The latter horse seems to have been a light bluish gray, closely akin to white. For info on this great American hero and our first president see: www.whateveristrue.com/heritage/washington.htm & www.whitehouse.gov/about/presidents/georgewashington/ .
"It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible" President George Washington, September 17th, 1796 ;
"Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports . . . And let us indulge with caution the supposition that morality
can be maintained without religion . . . Reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail to the exclusion of religious principle." ;
"...The Smiles of Heaven can never be expected On a Nation that disregards the eternal rules
of Order and Right, which Heaven Itself Ordained." ;
"Let us raise a standard to which the wise and honest can repair; the rest is in the hands of God." Address to the Constitutional Convention 1787 ;
"Without a humble imitation of the characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed religion,
we can never hope to be a happy nation."
PRESIDENT GEORGE WASHINGTON'S PRAYER
"Almighty God, we make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy holy protection, that Thou wilt incline the hearts of the citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to government, and entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow citizens of the United States at large.
And finally, that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed religion, and without an humble imitation of whose example in these things, we can never hope to be a happy nation.
Grant our supplications, we beseech thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen."

My husband Barry made me fall in love with him more last night!! Our daughter Aimee has Type 1 diabetes and was at a friends for an overnight. There was a problem with her pump and no insulin was being delivered. I got several calls from my friend who was keeping her and after several no delivery messages, we got concerned. My husband, is a fireman and was on duty last night. His station is close to our friends house and when I called and asked if he could get to her first, he went into daddy mode. He was alot closer and our house is a bit further. It was 11 p.m. and off he went. I loved driving up to my friends house seeing his truck out front and knowing he was taking care of his baby girl. He is a good daddy, husband and man and the love level I have for him got bumped up a notch last night.
By the way, Aimee was okay when we got home and switched everything out.
Amen! Prayer / Talking to God always changes things! Pray it out as a first response!

Cindy, helped me out by posing for a prayer warrior layout that I wanted to do for punky scraps (www.punkyscraps.blogspot.com)
I love how the light is coming down on her but then it also looks like its coming from her...
One day at a time & one step at a time. You can do it! No-one is perfect so when you fall, it's ok!! If you feel frustrated or feel the need to cry, kick, yell, spit, snort, or roll around, that's okay too! Most importantly, #GetUp & dust yourself off!! A step in the right direction, a positive thought, a smile, a kind word or gesture, a request for help or ANY effort is progress. Progress is something to be proud of!! This is something I tell my friends: crawl, scoot, hop, walk, & if you need help, get pushed in a stroller, get pulled in a wagon, get carried, or catch a ride until you have the strength. It's all about progress. Some day, you'll fly & have the strength to help someone else. We are praying for you & cheering you on. Keep going, because there are better days ahead. WE BELIEVE IN YOU! Love & Prayers. 🙏☺❤ ~ 🎶 @nappily_everafter #Quotes #Quotestagram #LifeQuotes #QOTD #Motivation #Motivational #Inspiration #Inspirational #Progress #Encouragement #Believe #Love #Hope #Faith #Peace #Pray #Real #Life #Love #Lonely #Sad #Depressed #Depression #Hurt #Hurting #Crazy #Confused #Jesus #God #Christian - prayerwarriors_nohate_justlove
These are two very dear women of God. Granny Stockton is on the left and Sis. Miriam is on the right. I caught them by surprise with this picture so forgive the expressions. They were listening intently to a story one of the other ladies was telling. It is women like these that I model my Christian life after, they are truly a blessing.

I captured Danny during his prayer time on the beach at High Island, Texas in Oct of 08. It was about a month after Hurricane Ike blew through causing so much damage.
