HHC 1/3 (The Old Guard) Charlie Company practices funerals on Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall just off of Sheridan Avenue, March 27. Companies rotate the mission of funerals in Arlington National Cemetery and must recertify before taking the mission.
This was a practice shoot we did to get prepared for the SuperPet Expo. We used both my dogs, JoJo and Haley, Jack Russell Terriers and my friend Janet's dog, the 4 Border Collies, for models. With Janet's help we set up some great shots and had a lot of fun.

Practicing with my flash. I know most flash photographers have like 3-4 flashes, but I only have one and I can see where I could use another. Beside that - any critiques? I sooooo want to learn flash photography!
This was my favorite picture of the bunch. I couldn't decide whether I liked the color or B&W.
I did this just once. For the first time I used pencil to sketch each letter, then outlined with marker, colored and outlined again, just like teacher tells us to do. All colors are Copic, except on the word months. I used 2 colors of ultra fine Sharpies on that.
I was bored earlier today so I set up my table and played around a little. I'm practicing stock shots. It looks crooked, does it look crooked to you?
I have a big book of ads from the 60s, and I was using them for reference on these. The one on the right isn't really a hippie, and is also the better of the two drawings in my opinion. Coincidence?
