Taken in our garden.

We think this is a Mayfly and probably the Large Dark Olive Mayfly Beetis Rhodani. If it isn't I hope someone will set us straight. The flower on the other hand, is definitely a clematis - Betty Corning.

 

At first I didn't know he was there. I took a single photo to upload to the big monitor to see if there were stamens inside and there he was, all blurry. So I went back out and made his acquaintance!

This is the photography backdrop I told you about and the model is Rontzy, one of the toys I've made. And because mouses love to eat, she's sitting near an old wooden food recipient.
