Children of Class 1 had a very interesting activity recently. They were taken by their teachers on a visit to the neighbourhood. The ‘Neighbourhood Walk’ gave them practical knowledge about real life. The activity also helped to foster values like respect for all, keeping places clean and being polite.
They visited Chandan Public Park, The police station, Temple, Shanti Asiatic School, SAL Hospital and even the saw the TV tower. This completed the circuit of facilities present in the school neighbourhood in terms of a park, a police station, a place of worship, a hospital and recreation.
The children were very excited and curious. Their disciplined and polite behaviour during their neighbourhood walk is a lesson for all of us.

On 28 November 2024, the fifth Empower workshop was successfully held at Diageo's office. Diageo, recognized as one of the leading British beverage alcohol companies, previously hosted a successful Empower workshop in 2023 and collaborated with the British Chamber of Commerce in Korea(BCCK) to organise its second workshop for the current Empower cohort.

Participants had the chance to examine the practical initiatives Diageo has implemented to promote a more inclusive and diverse workplace. Discussions also highlighted how cultural change can be made within corporate environments. This was followed by an interactive session where participants analysed emerging consumer and partnership trends, identifying key shifts shaping today’s market landscape. Through group activities, the Empower cohort reflected on how consumers play a role in influencing and guiding marketing strategies.
The second session, titled "Open Discussion on Mental & Physical Wellbeing," shifted the focus to individual and organisational approaches to health and wellness and shared experiences and actionable strategies. A lively discussion emerged around how leaders can maintain a healthy balance between personal and professional commitments while continuing to grow their careers.
The Empower cohort also had the opportunity to explore Diageo's diverse range of alcohol brands. During this segment, they learned about whisky production methods, its flavours and aromas, and food pairing tips, gaining practical knowledge for everyday life. The workshop concluded with an open and relaxed networking session, allowing Empower participants to connect and strengthen their bonds in a welcoming and supportive environment.

As part of WP1 (Digital Coasts) activities in Mozambique, WorldFish conducted a three-day enumerator training workshop in Maputo from 6 - 8 October 2025. The training aimed to strengthen the capacity of fisheries data collectors by equipping them with practical knowledge and skills in digital data collection using Peskas: a real-time digital platform designed to monitor, analyze, and visualize small-scale fisheries data. The workshop brought together enumerators from all coastal provinces of Mozambique to enhance data quality and support sustainable fisheries management.
