Hello there! I hope all is well my friends! I am featuring MudHoney Sloan Sink which is brand new to the FaMESHed X Event! I know powder rooms typically have just a toilet and sink setup but I had to have a small shower and some extras. Hey, a small bathroom is a Powder room period! LOL The event is open until July 6th so make sure you run down! Using my friend girl Kelly's name for the title. So, shout out to her! She is amazing and she puts up with me so well. LOL! I have featured credits on the blog! Feel free to have a look! Thank you for the support and I wish all of you a blessed week ahead! xoxo <3333 Ebony

Week 12 - Fun with mirrors 52 weeks of 2016

Why is it that brothers do these kinds of things to their sisters? :-)

(for #FlickrFriday theme #IMadeThis)

Designed for miniature dollhouse scale (1:12 ) dollhouses; the “lady” of the house’s vanity, dressing table, dressing room, powder room or bathroom; and room boxes.

sorry, here is a powder room, only for ladies...but not just a powder room...how gorgeous! we kept guys wait outside for a while and enjoyed the luxurious place and time with happy mood :)

@shinmarubiru, marunouchi, Tokyo, Japan

※shot by nanacoro. thank you~~ *kiss kiss*

replace the existing kohler stainless steel vessel sink (scale of fixture doesn't look great with the size of the vanity, also very hard to keep clean)

replace the existing vanity mirror (although the design intent to have diffused lighting, the placement of the lighting shows through the frosted portion of the glass as well creates an awful source of lighting, hot spots and visually doesn't line up with anything)

replace the kohler stillness spout (too short for the clearance of the vanity and also causes a lot of water to splash)

re-finish the walls, the typical standard white/peachy walls don't do anything for the the main powder room

Yes, this is a very real Ladies Restroom at the brand new Golf Course in Windsor, Colorado.

Raindance National Resort & Golf Course has a Farm Motif - Lots of old tractors, silos, farm equipment, etc. throughout the course.

This Ladies Restroom, I'm told it's very clean and very nicely decorated inside with running water and modern plumbing.

It is literally an "Outhouse". It is a separate structure located next to the Golf Pro Shop.

My daughter has a lot rubber duckies, but this one is by far the cutest.

Then followed that beautiful season... Summer....

Filled was the air with a dreamy and magical light; and the landscape

Lay as if new created in all the freshness of childhood.

I like these, they are very decorative and cast a soft light.

The bathroom...

A favorite part of the house. :-)

How do you call this in your dialect or language?

How long do you stay here? Any rituals? (LOL)

You may tag or note.

Let's chill!

SCOUT: “Wow! This wallpaper is so pretty, Paddy!”

PADDY: “Yes it is, Scout.”

JAGO: “I heard Sah say to Daddy that it came from England, just like Paddy and I.”

PADDY: “And Daddy too!”

JAGO: “And Daddy too, Paddy.”

BOGART: “It looks like we are in a beautiful forest at night.”

SCOUT: “Forests at night can be scary. They are so dark!” *Trembles.* “Mijn beste vriend Peter and Paddy’s beste vriend Oleg were lost in a forest once, and it was scary!” *Trembles more.*

BOGART: “Yes, but they met Bernus the lost doggie, and then they all became friends and Bernus found out that he had a long lost brother, and now he and Hakus are together again, all because of the forest, Scout.”

SCOUT: “Hhhmmm…” *Thinks.* “That’s true, Bogart, but it’s still scary and dark in the forest!”

PADDY: “Not in this forest, Scout! Look!” *Points to walls.* “See, there are sparkling stars.”

SCOUT: “There are, Paddy?” *Looks.* “So there are, Paddy!”

JAGO: “And see, Scout they are sparkling and reflecting the light of the moon.”

BOGART: “The moon, Jago?”

JAGO: “Yes Scout! Surely you can see that big round light in the sky!”

BOGART: “Pst… pst, Jago…” *Taps Jago on the shouder.* “Isn’t that the powder room light, Jago?”

JAGO: “Ssshhh!” *Puts paw to mouth.* “I’m helping Scout not be scared.”

BOGART: “Oh!” *Puts paw to mouth.*

PADDY: “If you look around, Scout, I think you’ll find that this is a actually a very friendly, magical, enchanted forest. I’m sure there are deer and squirrels and owls in this forest.”

BOGART: “And faeries, gnomes and pixies, too!”

SCOUT: “Really Paddy and Bogart?” *Smiles with relief.*

JAGO: “Come sit between Paddy and me, Scout and we will count happy, winking stars together, and maybe whilst we do it, we will see a faerie fly by, or a sprite.”

SCOUT: “Alright, Jago.” *Snuggles down between Paddy and Jago.*

JAGO: “I can see one big star there!” *Points.*

BOGART: “And I see two between that tree truck over there!” *Points.*

PADDY: “I see another big star in the sky between the fork branches of that tree!” *Points.*

SCOUT: “Gosh! So many stars!”

PADDY: “And all of them are here to help us not be scared, and to light our path.”

DADDY: “There you are!”

PADDY, SCOUT, BOGART and JAGO: *Scream and look to powder room door.*

DADDY: *Screams at the shock of PADDY, SCOUT, BOGART and JAGO screaming at him.*

PADDY: “Daddy! You frightened us!”

DADDY: “Well, your screams frightened me!” *Clutches chest dramatically.* “What on earth are you still going in Sah’s powder room, and sitting on top of the toilet, no less?”

SCOUT: “Isn’t it obvious, Daddy? We are star gazing! Look!” *Points to stars on the wallpaper.* “They are lighting the way for us, so that we won’t be scared, a bit like Hansel and Grethel in the forest, only luckily there is no bear nibbling witch in this forest,” *Thinks.* “Is there, Paddy, Jago and Bogart?” *Concerned.*

JAGO: “Indeed not, Scout!”

BOGART: “I can’t see any witches, and my eyesight is excellent, Scout.”

PADDY: “This is a friendly forest, Scout, so only good faeries, gnomes and pixies… oh and good witches can be found here.”

SCOUT: “Do good witches have gingerbread houses too, Paddy?”

PADDY: “Oh, I’m sure they do, Scout.”

SCOUT: “Perhaps we should find one then. I have a grumbly tummy! Grumbly tummy, Paddy! Grumbly tummy, Jago! Grumbly tummy, Bogart!”

BOGART: “Me too!”

JAGO: “Me three!”

PADDY: *Looks to Daddy.* “We all have grumbly tummies, Daddy!”

PADDY, SCOUT, BOGART and JAGO: “Grumbly tummies, Daddy! Grumbly tummies!” *Rub tummies vigorously.*

DADDY: “Well, I don’t have a gingerbread cottage, Paddy, Scout, Bogart and Jago, but I do know where you can your grumbly tummies.”

SCOUT: “You do, Daddy?” *Looks at Daddy.* “Where?”

DADDY: “In Sah’s kitchen. I’ve just cut you all an extra big little bear sized slice of French lemon cake. That’s why I came looking for you.”

SCOUT, BOGART and JAGO: “Hoorah! Thank you Daddy!”

PADDY: “Thank you Daddy! I knew you would have the answer to our problem.”

DADDY: “You’re all very welcome. Now come along, Sah and Corinna are waiting for us. Now that you’ve washed your paws thoroughly in the vanity…” *Pauses.* “You have washed the thoroughly haven’t you?”

PADDY, SCOUT, BOGART and JAGO: “Yes Daddy!” *Hold out paws for inspection.*

DADDY: “Very good! Then come along and let’s fill those grumbly tummies with delicious home made cake!”

PADDY, SCOUT, BOGART and JAGO: “Hoorah!” *Scramble down from their perch on the toilet and hurry to the kitchen and the French lemon cake waiting there for them.*

The other week Paddy, Scout, Bogart, Jago and I went to visit my friend Sah who has just finished a beautiful renovation of her Victorian terrace house. We had afternoon tea with our friend Corinna, who is the person who introduced Sah and I. Sah has the most amazing powder room with an Italian column vanity and Cole and Sons “Woods and Stars” wallpaper. The bears were really taken by it: almost as much as they were taken by my French lemon cake, which helped fill everyone’s and everybears’ grumbly tummies… temporarily!

My Paddington Bear came to live with me in London when I was two years old (many, many years ago). He was hand made by my Great Aunt and he has a chocolate coloured felt hat, the brim of which had to be pinned up by a safety pin to stop it getting in his eyes. The collar of his mackintosh is made of the same felt. He wears wellington boots made from the same red leather used to make the toggles on his mackintosh.

He has travelled with me across the world and he and I have had many adventures together over the years. He is a very precious member of my small family.

Scout was a gift to Paddy from my friend. He is a Fair Trade Bear hand knitted in Africa. His name comes from the shop my friend found him in: Scout House. He tells me that life was very different where he came from, and Paddy is helping introduce him to many new experiences. Scout catches on quickly, and has proven to be a cheeky, but very lovable member of our closely knit family.

Jago is a recent addition to my ever-growing family. A gift from a dear friend in England, he is made of English mohair with suede paw pads and glass eyes. He is a gentle bear, kind and patient who carries an air of calm about him. He is already fitting in with everyone else very nicely.

Bogart has travelled all the way from Georgia, via Alabama as a gift to me from a friend. He has lovely Southern manners and seems to be a fun and gentle soul with an inquisitive nature.

#50/ ME 2008

32/ 52Weeks

PADDY: “Come along everyone! It’s very important to wash our paws before we take afternoon tea with Daddy’s friends Sah and Corinna!”

SCOUT: “Afternoon tea! Hoorah!” *Jumps up and down.* “I have a grumbly tummy! Grumbly tummy Paddy! Grumbly tummy!” *Rubs tummy vigorously.*

BOGART: “I do too, Scout! Grumbly tummy Scout! Grumbly tummy!” *Rubs tummy vigorously.*

JAGO: “I think we all do, Scout and Bogart. Daddy made a delicious French lemon cake the other way with those fresh lemons he was given. It smells delicious! I do hope Daddy, Sah and Corinna don’t start without us.”

PADDY: “Oh they won’t, Jago! They are very well brought up humans. Daddy would not be friends with rude people who start eating before everyone is present to enjoy the cake!”

SCOUT: “Why do we need to wash our paws before we eat, Paddy?”

BOGART: “Yes, why Paddy? Mama Kim always told me that I should wash them before I eat, but never told me why.”

PADDY: “Well Scout and Bogart, the reason why we have to wash our paws, is because when we play all day, our paws get dirty and germs get on them. You don’t want yucky germs spoiling the taste of your cake, do you?”

BOGART: “Goodness no, Paddy!”

SCOUT: *Looks at paws.* “Where are the germs? I don’t see them!”

JAGO: “Germs are very tiny, so tiny that tiny is too big a word for them. They are microscopic, Scout!”

SCOUT: “Micro… micro…”

JAGO: “Microscopic, Scout.”

SCOUT: “That word is bigger than tiny, Jago. How can it be smaller than tiny, which isn’t a big word?”

JAGO” “Oh no Scout! I didn’t mean that the word microscopic was smaller than the word tiny. No! No! I meant that the word microscopic means smaller than tiny.”

SCOUT: “Oh!” *Thinks.* “Yucky micro…micro… very, very, extra teeny tiny germs!” *Sticks out cute little pink bear tongue.*

PADDY: “Well this is the powder room. Let’s wash our paws. Then we can fill our grumbly tummies with delicious cake!”

BOGART: “Wow Paddy! Look at that vanity basin! It looks like a giant patty pan paper!”

JAGO: “And look at the pretty wallpaper! It has trees and stars on it!”

PADDY: “Yes, and the stars are all silver!”

SCOUT: “And there’s a bear slidey pole! I’m going to slide down it! Come on everyone!” *Runs up to vanity, climbs it and slides down arched tap.* “Wheeee!”

PADDY: No! No Scout! What if there is water in the vanity basin?”

JAGO, BOGART and PADDY: *Climb up the vanity and peer over the edge.*

SCOUT: “That was fun!”

PADDY: “Oh thank goodness! Are you alright Scout?”

SCOUT: “Oh yes Paddy!” *Jumps up and down with excitement.* “That pole was so fun to slide down! I want to do it again, but there are no bear stairs to get back out! Can you help me get out, Paddy? I can’t reach the edge!”

JAGO: “Here Scout. My paws are longer. Let me help you.”

SCOUT: “Oh thank you Jago! Hey! Do you know what?”

PADDY, BOGART and JAGO: “What Scout?”

SCOUT: “This would make a wonderful bear sized swimming pool! Let’s ask Daddy to get us one. Then we can play it in during summer, and Daddy can fill it with warm water in winter!”

BOGART: “That sounds like a good idea, Scout.”

PADDY: “I don’t know, Scout.” *Looks at Jago.* “We already have two vanity basins at home.”

SCOUT: “Yes, but we use them for bathing in. They aren’t as much fun as this one with a slidey pole to slide down!”

JAGO: “We’ll see, Scout. Now come along and climb into my arms so I can lift you out. Then Paddy can turn the tap on and we can all wash our paws.”

BOGART: “And then we can eat some yummy Daddy cake!”

SCOUT: *Reaches up to Jago, who pulls him up.* “Of course we will have to get Daddy to install our bear sized swimming pool with bear stairs to climb back out, otherwise poor Jago’s arms will get tired of lifting us out!”

The other week Paddy, Scout, Bogart, Jago and I went to visit my friend Sah who has just finished a beautiful renovation of her Victorian terrace house. As I guy, I often wonder what does the inside of the Ladies Room look like? What goes on in there?

I don't think they all look like this. This one might need some TLC...

Honestly...this really is what lives in my bathroom...not actually "styled" like this...but truly a part of my everyday life. The lovely old handkie box was given to me by my sis La Von. I thrifted the vase and the cup...they are both hugely chipped/cracked! :) The French silk pink roses are over 20 years old and were given to me by a former employer who taught me so much about Interior Design ( I was her understudy) she passed away of cancer way too young....and the perfume? Well, Lollia by Margot Elena (such a lovely line we sell at our shop) and Turquoise by Ralph Lauren...which I picked out while I was pregnant with my second son. Oh yeah, the bottle....well my dears...I've had it for longer than I can remember....someday I'll throw it in the ocean with a note telling the world how blessed I was to learn to take joy in the imperfect things of life....as that is where all the charm is to be found.

Watch out! Her heels are deadly!

Repainted Barbie Fashion Fever furniture with custom sink, mirror & towel bars. Notice that even the toilet paper roll received the royal treatment. Walls are Silkstone boxes covered with scrapbook paper. Scrapbook sticker borders are layered to create the look of crown moulding & baseboards. Floor is also scrapbook paper.

View of the ladies powder room at the Paramount Theatre, Pilgrim Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, September 1931 (TWAM ref. DX1677/1/1).

The Odeon Cinema opened on Pilgrim Street, Newcastle upon Tyne on 7 September 1931. It as originally known as the Paramount Theatre but was taken over by Odeon in 1939. The Odeon’s luxurious décor made it one of the country’s finest cinemas and arguably the North East’s best loved. Most of the images in this album date from its opening and convey a real sense of the building’s elegance and beauty. Sadly the cinema closed in 2002 and was demolished in 2017.

This image is from an album which was kindly donated to the Archives by the Northumberland & Newcastle Society.

Good grief. Can't even believe I took this THEN uploaded it for the world to see. But I did. It's supposed to be Halloweenish and well, my kids think it is. Do you?

Ya sabes que a veces

Busco lugares desconocidos

Me asomo a rincones ocultos

Persigo sueños en mundos lejanos

Intento observar las cosas

Desde distintos ángulos

Pero al final después de todo

Sé que no hay nada mejor

Que poder descansar

Entre tus brazos...
