Shot in Ranganathan street, this lady was munching hot idly as her breakfast, sitting on the road near a 'Kayyendhi' bhavan; After the shoot, she wanted money. I told her that i will sponsor her bfast for the morning(which i did) and then she wore a smile on her face.... which i failed to capture; very cooperative... grand old lady this.

Our new project Screenography. All photographs are taken with a digital camera, but the image is initially projected to the surface of the 18x24 focusing screen. We used Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 250/4.5 and a simple magnifying glass. Detailed description of process and photos can be found here: koldunov.ru/?p=364 (in russian)

Got a new softbox, Westcott Apollo 28x28, also bought the 40 degree Grid. Set it up tonight and took some hand held self portraits, to test things out. Most of these were shot with manual setting via YN-622C, at either 1/8th power or 1/4 power, focal length set to auto
