Over the weekend I made a DIY table top macro studio. It took less than ten minutes and cost next to nothing. I am not perticulerly thrilled with this shot but I wanted to post something from the box. Below is thie link to the instructions for the box on Strobist.com.

Combining art and algorithms, Potion's Community Displays give RISD's artists a visual and unfiltered platform to express themselves. At the bequest of RISD President John Maeda, Potion worked to create an electronic system whose organic, uncensored structure distinguishes it as a medium for the entire community.
Potion's custom application mimics a bulletin board with only one rule: anyone from the community can post anything as long as their name is attached to it. Featured in prominent locations around campus, the screens refresh with a new batch of submissions twice an hour, arranging content based on Potion's custom algorithm so that the layout is always unique and surprising. The application gives each submission its well-deserved moment in the sun by zooming into each artwork as Potion's program moves from piece to piece.
In an ongoing testament to the success of the Community Displays, RISD students, faculty and staff continue to submit hundreds of images to the system each passing week. The displays serve not only as a reflection of the present community but also as an archive of the community’s evolving digital conversation.

A Magical Transformation: Portions of this room were constructed for Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone but since then this room has gone through several changes. The room was first seen in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone as the small closet where Fluffy the three-headed dog guarded the trap door leading to the Philosopher's Stone. For Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the production team revamped the space to create Professor Snape's office. In 2008 the set was redressed again for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, as the potions classroom and the entire room was made larger.
Foetus (JG Thirlwell) not only plays all his own music and produces all his own music but designs all his own album artwork. Thus he's not only one of my favorite musicians but also one of my favorite graphic designers.
