"This book is property of The Half Blood Prince"

* Romy, Marc and I made these Harry Potter potions.

We are going to turn them into necklaces with a piece of twine.

Romy will try to sell them at our local once a year flea market (garage sale).

* Romy, Marc en ik hebben deze Harry Potter toverdrankjes gemaakt.

We gaan er met behulp van touw kettingen van maken.

Romy zal ze proberen te verkopen op onze jaarlijkse rommelmarkt.

Simply brew two teabags of mint tea, add a dash of almond oil, honey and a spring of mint to garnish. Peppermint helps stimulate brain waves and evaporate the fogginess...

Pretty still lifes all around the Harry Potter Tour.

This retail experience begins with a vertical display of snowboarding products. A wooly hat hangs next to a pair of headphones and waterproof gloves. The backdrop appears to be a collage of snowboarding action photos. However, when a shopper approaches the display, they realize that the photos are actually slow-motion videos. When the shopper takes a product off the wall, the video underneath it speeds up to real time. Snowboarders take flight, do tricks in the air and crash into the snow. When the product is placed back on the display, the video freezes in place. Potion’s vertical retail display can be customized to trigger any kind of video clip when a product is touched, from testimonials to reality video to feature film trailers. With every interaction, the customer is rewarded with a high quality digital payoff.

Zelda III (SNES) red and green potions.

Copied from a design found on the internet (unknown creator). The original model belongs to a collection of 6 Zelda III coasters with a transparent background, replaced here with white, since Ikea Pyssla beads are not available in this colour.

Submitted for Macro Mondays. The theme this week is "Abracadabra." I am looking for magic in stars and bokeh. After having a sip of this magic potion, it was easy to see bokeh everywhere! =)

For the St. Regis, an establishment world-renowned for personal service, Potion created a custom interactive bar and tasting table to expand the reach of the Master Sommelier in their newest restaurant.

Working closely with the Rockwell Group and The Map Office to design the overall experience at Adour, Potion’s interactives, constructed from gold and bronze with a goat skin surface, are as far from a traditional touch screen as one can get. Potion’s large-scale interactive projections seamlessly blend with the environment, allowing patrons to browse Adour's complete wine list by wine type, country, and varietal.

Upon selecting a wine, a rosette appears that contains detailed information about the wine’s origin. Sommeliers and patrons alike may share or send their rosettes to other guests at the bar. At the touch-sensitive Private Tasting Table, Potion’s software allows the maitre d’ to create a unique group experience for guests, “setting the table” with personalized wine selection projections. To keep each patron’s experience personal and fresh, Potion created a custom content management system for Adour, allowing the wine director to update the interactive bar on a daily basis or for a special occasion.

The elements for Utata's Iron Photographer 119 are as follows:

1 - coloured glass (a bottle - Egyptian glass)

2 - a transitional state (between sleep & wakefulness)

3 - creepy shadow (a knife taped to a broomstick - how creepy is that?)

Concept art already exists,i just redraw on paper and finished it on illustrator)

ingles tosco paca ;(

I went to the Harry Potter Studios today with Rachel and Emma (my mum's cousins) and one of their friends. It was amazing! We 'drove' the Weasley's car and I 'flew' a broomstick too. The whole thing was really great. The only problem was the extortionate prices in the gift shop - I did get treated to a Gryffindor scarf though!

As much as raising 4 children of very different ages wears me out, I still love what I find laying around the house on a given day.

Some people play the "what's in my bag" game. Here, it's simply "what's laying around the Shimmel house" on a cold Sunday afternoon.

The skeleton cup, soakable snake and way too strong orange-pineapple juice were fun in the tricky, fleeting sunlight.

Hmm... :-)

(It's actually pink sugar sprinkles in a Florence flask.

Strobist:

580EX M1/2 through white diffusion panel (part of a product shot box)

430EX M1/16, goboed by a piece of black foam core with a hole cut / punched into it.

The Florence flask sits on top of the black foam core with the hole.

Piece of black foam core masking taped to a box of fruit loops cereal as background / gobo. This piece is cut such that it barely fills the field of view of the camera side to side.

I then upped the saturation, vibrance and a little bit of clarity in Lightroom.

See here for the same shot without the 430EX in the picture, for darkfield illumination of the glass:

My boyfriend, knowing I love Harry Potter, got this as a surprise gift for me. It's a Love Potion necklace from some Harry Potter souvenir magazine.

September 2015

New decorations for Halloween 2013 - made a bunch of potion bottles for the first time. Bottles from thrift store, craft store, and one drink bottle and one shampoo bottle, were spray painted silver, then finished with free download lables, corks, wax, fabric, ribbon, and random charms.
