I think the fire and water make a rather nice contrast.
Strobist: One Vivtar 285HV fired through two layers of tissue paper adjacent to the water, acting as an undersized softbox.
Shot on film with the Leica M6 and the 35mm Summilux pre-ASPH. Then manipulated the heck out of it and used textures from Flypaper. Love the textures they have!

finally working on edits.
finally feeling useful.
feeling human.
but no way was i staying chained to the desk all day. the sun flooded into my office and by 2 p.m. its call was too strong, so we headed out ... me 'n the dogs and the sunshine. in spite of the mud, we had a good time.
My first Fake Tilt-Shift - Original shot with Canon PowerShot S2 IS, "some" post-processing with Photoshop...

mixed up 3 different photos + color manipulation at different stages, to create "watercoloury" surreal feel. Photos taken with Sony DSC-HX9V.
The natural path along the way to the falls. This is perhaps one of the only spots without blooming flowers.
Wild mushrooms taken at the cabin on Thanksgiving weekend.
6 exposures merged into HDR using Photomatix 3.0.
