At work we have several birdhouses with breeding Tits in the yard. The birds are used to passing people. The other day there was a lot of noise at one of the houses: The chicks were ready to leave. On my break I already took some images with the Iphone of a little chick peeking out. But today I brought the camera gear. I didn't need to wait long. At 07:25 all 4 of the (remaining) chicks left their safe enclosure one by one for a life in the big world. Click L for full screen

This was a wonderful wall on the Landstrasser Hauptstrasse main street in Vienna where a lived a couple of years ago (still miss you my love, my beautiful Vienna) I found it amusing because of its raw punky ripped look staring right back to me and I took a snippy-snap with my Uncle-camera... hope there are some other decay-romantics out there???

Having a smoke break & taking cover, its still only January in Dublin city centre, not the time just yet for sunglasses & t-shirts.
not the most artistic shot i've ever take, but this scene from the state fair of texas said a lot to me about our health these days. i had no intention of making a statement, this alignment just caught my eye--and let's face it, the state fair is definitely circled on gluttony's calendar. yet we continue to push the envelope on what insane thing can be fried next. when i was a kid, we thought of someone with a bit of a beer belly as fat. but now buying two seats on a plane, needing a "power chair" to cart your behind around wal-mart or being surgically removed from your sofa is the new standard. i'm no posterboy for physical fitness myself. but it is a bit scary, isn't it?
Facebook doesn't bring you closer to friends, it brings you closer to the police.
