Possibly the smartest livery on the HST and sadly short lived. 43170 passes through Rumney on the outskirts of Cardiff with an unidentified working potentially to Swansea. 27/1/1998
Possibly the most photographed building in the world. The debates here were once considered the most eloquent in the English-speaking world.
Possibly the most famous road in Bath, Royal Crescent is a row of 30 terraced houses laid out in a sweeping crescent. Designed by the architect John Wood the Younger and built between 1767 and 1774, it is among the greatest examples of Georgian architecture to be found in the United Kingdom. The buildings are all Grade I-listed.
Interestingly, each original purchaser bought a length of the façade, and then employed their own architect to build a house behind the façade to their own specifications. Hence what can appear to be two houses is occasionally just one. While the front is uniform and symmetrical, the rear is a mixture of differing roof heights, juxtapositions and fenestration. In other words, a bit of a mess. This architecture, described as "Queen Anne fronts and Mary-Anne backs", occurs repeatedly in Bath.
I first came across Royal Crescent in the 1966 comedy, "The Wrong Box", which had a stellar cast including Michael Caine, Tony Hancock, Peter Sellers, Peter Cook and Dudley Moore. I'd always wanted to see the crescent in person. It's certainly impressive.
Possibly Ochrolechia parella ( Parellkrustenflechte )
or close relative on a park bench at Upton Country Park in Poole.
Possibly we didnt get the best angles of the castle (or the best light) but it was an enjoyable trip.
Possibly the best fall warbler shot I've gotten this season, a yellow rumped warbler hanging out among the turning leaves.
Possibly Homalictus (Homalictus) sphecodoides? ID advice welcome
These bees collect pollen on the underside of their abdomen as well as on their hind legs.
Possibly Red Baneberry, another native plant of Nova Scotia hardwood Forests.
I'll know soon! It's a very interesting looking plant.
Seen in Victoria Park, in Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Possibly Tipula confusa, has some of the features anyway. Sat on a wall in my garden and it's very welcome.

Possibly the most recognizable tree in Ontario, the beautiful windswept pine at Sunset Rock in Killbear Provincial Park. I've taken many photos of this tree, but I think this is my favorite angle, looking over Georgian Bay. Infrared photo.
Possibly the most annoying dual pose I have made to date. I wish I had PS to edit this better right now but hopefully soon.
Inspired by a pencil drawing I saw someplace, stuff from the NeoJapan event, and Tarot cards.

It isn't my intention on this piece for it to come off as violent or abusive or some unhealthy relationship though it could be seen as all of these things. My intention was more Yin & Yang opposites attracted and how things like dark and light can not exist without one another. They could both hurt the one they love while at the same time are ready to defend the other. One is loud and bright the other is quiet dark and watchful. Was easily the most complex pose I have ever made.
Possibly the last passenger train to visit Quakertown, Pennsylvania, the Souderton Railroad Days special pauses before returning to Souderton. Most onlookers are at the other end of the train, examining Blue Mountain and reading 4-6-2 425.
Possibly the worlds most photographed tree, hated by photographers worldwide, yet it still appears in and wins major photography competitions.
I have shot here once before, but conditions didn't really present me with a decent shot so I wanted to get my own version of the famous Wanaka tree. What can I say, the tree was there, I was there......
Shot on a very clear and crisp -3 morning in Wanaka, New Zealand.

So... my main souvenirs from the Discworld convention are the stamps sold by the Discworld Emporium.
I already have a ridiculous shoebox full of my stamp collection from the *actual* world, and now I've started another one. Oh dear.
They're so cool looking! And they're for a place that doesn't exist! I'm laughing at myself a bit, or maybe with myself? At least I'm laughing!
possibly a sterile green stem of Equisetum arvense ( Ackerschachtelhalm ) showing it`s quality as rain catcher. Dorset
Possibly the most picturesque river mouth view on the north coast of New South Wales, where the Nambucca River winds through sandy shallows out to sea,
Possibly the most obscure object to loom large in a photo on flickr today? What is it, does it have a name? How has it come to be?
But sitting near the waterside in beautiful golden dawn light I had to shoot it with my weapon in hand, my 150-500 zoom lens, to try and make my subject stand out in the light. I don't like the object, all messy, and trashy, and I wish I had found something better to photograph but it is what it is......whatever that might be.
Possibly the oldest play written in Ireland was in Old Irish. It has been translated by Eleanor Hull as The Colloquoy between Fintan and the Hawk of Achill, a druidic verse play. Pls read tags if you wonder about the hawk :)
Possibly Tansy aphid, looks just like the photo in the book. As it is Monday & garden has to be done I have not been out today, so one from last year
Possibly the best double rainbow I have seen. And rainbows make me smile even when--as you can see--it is raining.
