HMM contraption (possibility) in blue

HMM- the macromonday theme for today, 10/21, is stationery-- anything used to write with or write on :) methinks i have a couple to choose from........ my favorite is the blue 2-in-1 pen and stylus, but it's dusty and that's driving me crazy so this one is my choice (see the first comment box for the stylus/pen)

this morning, i was in the park, shooting dew-covered grass. it was quiet and peaceful. just me and the squirrels. sometimes i need to look more closely: attend and discern. other times—like today—i need to look up, broaden my perspective, and open to possibility.

I love the graduation from dark blue to light & fiery color in the sky. This was a magnificent sunset and I wish I was able to do it better justice :)!

macromondays "what is it?" possibility whatizit?

It's that time of year again! When the acorns fall from the sky. My fear of getting hit in the the head with one runs deep. :)

This tree is one of three all close together and I I think I have covered most possibilities re branches yet I am drawn to them like a magnet. The woodland is old brambly and generally a tangle with other off shoots of other trees growing up through them. Not one is a prettily defined tree standing alone. That flash of red/orange draws me like a magnet though, Two grow on a steepish incline so all three tripod legs at various lengths. The ones taken by hand are simply not good enough despite the VR on the lens and the iso is also far too high for the speed needed. I use Tozaz noise filter but prefer low ISOs - I am a bit mardy like that. This is shot wide open at f/4 and iso 200 which gave the very slow 1/60 so I prefer the tripod but on the slope it isn’t like Everest but makes it a laborious job finding a composition........

The “line_up“ is a paperwork series I developed since 2010. The “liners” are made out of paper (Din A3/A4),

oil paint and graphite. The theme is the hermetical laws of polarity and movement. There is no ending and no beginning in any direction, just an endless movement. You have the possibility to arrange the papers like you want and that makes it an endless playground for my photo-work and the eyes of the viewers.

Reviewing the weather forecast for this weekend I went out Friday evening after work as this was the only possibility of some sun at sunset, really windy so no reflections possible so went for a long exposure over Langstone Harbour, Hampshire showing the remains of the old Billy Line Station.

80 seconds exposure using a Lee 'Little Stopper' 6 stop ND + a 0.9 ND grad filter over the sky.

I made this picture, with my 100 mm 2.8 macro lens..:) It gives a such of sharpness to the details. If you have possibility try your macro lenses for these kind of bigger things, the DOF is unbelievable works, too.
