Blackbird (Turdus merula) Our resident female blackbird loves to pose!

I love the delicate beauty of Butterflies.................

Snugs giving me a pose. It was hard fought on my part as I had to click my fingers and emit little yelps to get her attention.

Gosforth Park (Friendly Stoat)

A Green heron taken a few years ago along the banks of the Ohio River. It just sat and posed as if we had an appointment for a photo session!

This Swamp sparrow gave me a nice profile on an isolated stalk for their photo, a realatively unusual occurrence. Riverlands Migratory Bird Sanctuary in West Alton, Missouri

Posing for the camera, this is the same cow as seen in the previous picture entitled 'Horny'. Shot taken close to the Howwood Trout Fishery, just south of Howwood.

A Robin at its best

This Black Crowned Night Heron was taking a break from the rest of his group. There are many Black Crowns at Hall Memorial Park in Milpitas as it’s hatching time. In the light of day adults are striking in gray-and-black plumage and long white head plumes. These social birds breed in colonies of stick nests usually built over water. They live in fresh, salt, and brackish wetlands and are the most widespread heron in the world.
