I guess the mag wheels are a potential give away that this isn't just some sleeping, rusty old ride. The funny thing is that, years ago, I had a VW bus similar to this one that we put a Porsche engine in. It isn't a difficult swap and it made my bus scream for a short distance, but the low gear ratios and the difficulty in shifting it quickly soon tamed things down a bit.
